  1. I agree with you about Man Utd Jim, and hope you're right about Chelsea, even if that will leave A-hole as the top team, along with Spuds (possibly).
  2. If the Geordies did poach Hughes, I'd personally go and poo in fat Freddies hat. I like what he is doing here, and fingers crossed he'll stay. Maybe Steve Bruce will be tempted to leave Brum. http://www.willhill.com/iibs/EN/buildcoupo...choice=FB828738 The link is William Hill's take on who is the next Portsmouth manager, and who's next for the chop. Don't understand the figures, but Souness looks like he's on thin ice.
  3. If Hughes had any sense, he'd stay away. Sure, they have so many more fans than us, and a bit more cash, but the Best Fans in The World want success last week, think the sun shines out of Shearer's bottom, and it has always been a loony bin up there. It's not worth the hassle, and Hughes should probably wait until Ferguson or Wenger leaves.
  4. Well let us all bow down and kiss the feet of the one true God . You may have all the qualifications and a pretty hefty wage, but that doesn't stop you from coming across as a horrible, vindictive, arrogant and bitter person at times. Please, just go to the Celtic sites and rage on about Souness over there. It is very tiresome.
  5. Robbie Savage is the kind of guy you'd hate if he played for someone else, but liked if he is in your team. He is a wind-up merchant and always will be.It has nothing to do with the media disliking Blackburn.
  6. Not sure about Jemal. He seems way too small and lightweight for the Premiership or 1st division. This would not be such a problem if he had the abilities of a Michael Owen or Robbie Fowler circa 1996 that can be a clinical poacher, but he hasn't shown it so far.
  7. I wouldn't be angry if he hadn't wasted that dead bloke's liver. Whether or not he was a great football player is irrelevent in such matters. He was an alcoholic that will take 2 previously healthy and useful internal organs, and ruined them. That's the real tragedy. Obviously I cannot comment on his efforts on trying to stop drinking, as I have never met him. He may have made valiant efforts to combat his addiction in vain, or he took the p_ss, made no effort and abused the new liver. We'll never know.
  8. We will win 2-0, but Henry and Van Persie will cause lots of scary moments.
  9. 1. Lower ticket prices to around £15 for adults. 2. Under 16's get in for £3-5 for unfashionable games 3. Free/Damn cheap tickets to schools 4. More publicity-Rovers as a good night out for everyone. 5. Somehow convince more Asian families to go. No ideas at this end. 6. Target areas that are not in Manchester, Liverpool catchment areas with publicity, coach services to the game etc. These may help the situation in the long term.
  10. Dickov, Kuqi, Bellamy, Pedersen and Emerton .
  11. How about a Shoebill ?. These mofos are about 5 foot tall apparently. Even geese and swans would be wary about taking this mean dude.
  12. The problem for Bruce is that he can't run away to another club when things come to a head, as was the case when he left Huddersfield and Sheffield United. He's been at massive Brum for 3 years, so it'll go against him if they fail this season.
  13. The Buccaneers stadium may need repairs if that hurricane strikes that part of Florida as well, so that may be more money spent, and Mould Trafford being an even more of a financial strain. They should have bought out a team like Liverpool, Newcastle or even Villa for far less $. All pretty high profile clubs, and all worth far less than £800m or so. Then again, who cares ?. I love seeing Arsenal and Man Utd struggling to make the Champions League positions and the smaller teams like Wigan and Charlton in their place.
  14. I think Hughes would be too sensible to go to the Loony Toons. Sure, they have 50,000 fans every game, but they have a team that consistently underperforms, a chairman who is a prat, and have not won anything for 100 years. The vicious impatience of the supporters, as well as their idolisation of Shearer makes life impossible for anyone daft enough to go there.
  15. I'm surprised the Mirror can spell that word. I don't know how many were chanting that, and I think it is not on that they did, but any excuse the media has to bash Rovers, they will. This is because we are now the 'Milwall of the North', and the media want to kiss Jose Morinho's purple helmet, and not say Paddy Vieira is a dirty, diving prat. In other words, since we have little glamour, and are tough on the pitch, we are evil.
  16. Some people do, but some people stay on the level of cannabis. I think it should all be legalised, but sold in licensed places, with incredibly severe penalties for the black market sellers. And then you bring in a raft of regulations and clauses to make sure that the sellers really behave themselves. The supply should be monopolised by the state, and heavily taxed. Taxes could go on rehab and similar programmes. Such a policy has to be done globally though, as if it only applied to a single country, it will become a staging post for worldwide distribution. Therefore this will never happen, so don't worry.
  17. I believe that the world naturally warms and cools in a cycle. However, barring immense natural disasters, Earth has not had so much crap pumped into the atmosphere. So all that stuff could be a real danger in the future.
  18. Blyth Spartans ?. I'd hate to be in their youth team. If you are not good enough, they'll throw you off a cliff, and if you are, instead of cleaning a senior player's boots, you'll be mentored by them and regularly bummed.
  19. Whatever he does on the pitch Peter Crouch will look like a breakdancing giraffe. His spindly legs, skinny body and gait gives the appearance of Mike TV.
  20. Went to Leicester and Darlington at some point didn't he ?. He certainly went downhill after his brace against Newcastle.
  21. To go off the sporting theme, I worked for ILEX, a company that does legal courses, and one regular customer was a Leamington based legal firm called Wright Hassall Solicitors.
