  1. James Richardson's views from BBC website He makes it sound even more frightening over there. A ban for all Italian clubs for a year or two is needed as that seems to be the only way the authorities and fans can be forced to sort it out.
  2. If there is a place that does real ale, the local brewary, Brains, does a great beer called Revrand James.
  3. Fair enough I went too far with that last bit. I have now deleted it. If you're interested, I meant modern Italy, which was created in 1871, rather than any previous 'Italian' civilisations which were good at the military scene. I'm just outraged that such behavour happens, and will probably be tacitly condoned, as is the case with Spanish racism recently. When it comes to football, I have no respect for either country for those reasons. Both deserve to be banned from football until they learn how to be civilised.
  4. Just saw the incidents on ITV, and my views have not changed. The flare that hit Dida gave him 1st degree burns, and could have hit him smack in the face if he turned round a bit more. It was like the stadium was on fire, as there were so many flares, bottles and other things thrown on the pitch. It's no different to Chimpanzees throwing their crap at people, except that Chimpanzees have intelligence. No doubt UEFA will give them a £25,000 fine and make the next match be played behind closed doors. UEFA are weak little ____heads who will not stand up to the rising tide of violence in Italy. We have already had a CL match in Rome abandoned after the ref got injured by a coin, and a full scale riot in the Italy vs. Scotland match. But then they are not English, so they can do what they like as far as UEFA and FIFA are concerned. Inter Milan, if not all Italian teams should be banned for a few years, otherwise it will only get worse. I fear for the Liverpool players and fans, as some Juve ultras will probably not want to be outdone
  5. Oooooooh, Dundee Utd, what a huge team to lose to. Never mind, at least Ferguson and the 'massive' Glasgow team will have a couple of European teams to knock them out next seasons Champions League/UEFA Cup. I wonder if he'll be homesick at the away legs to Dinamo Bonjela or whoever ?.
  6. Italians are scum when it comes to football. Nowt will be done, despite rising problems with such matters. All Italian teams should be banned for 5 years at least. It is only a matter of time before they kill someone.
  7. True, but I'm normally less accurate than Mark lawrenson, so I am optimistic in every prediction. As I said, I'm usually wrong, so I'll say that it will be a lot closer in reality .
  8. Rather bizarrely...the player nominated by Coventry City as their worst ever is Craig Bellamy...what the hell is that all about? My friend is a Coventry fan, and he hates him intensely. He was a replacement for Keane, and did eff all but complain about how crap the city was, how he was too big and great for the club etc. His goal to game ratio was probably up there with Grabbi. In short, at that time he was an arrogant, lazy, mouthy ____ who was a huge waste of oxygen.
  9. 4-0 Rovers. Henry will be off form, Reyes and Vieria will be sent off, and Wenger will assault Hughes with his white stick.
  10. Can you imagine it ?. A forward line of Grabbi and Davies playing at the Breezeblock. Maybe Big Sam could then re-sign Jardel to be the super sub, and Dario Marcolin providing the drive from midfield.
  11. Here's a pair of huge tits: I think Donald Rumsfeld is trying to convince journalists he is holding Iraq's WMD. Or he's possessed by Tommy Cooper.
  12. Rangers aren't even in the Scottish cup semis. Is it cosy in your little goldfish bowl Barry ?. Have fun playing against massive clubs like Partick, Dundee Utd and Dumfirmline
  13. It seems that Toshack has truely messed up already, and Wales are falling back towards challenging N. Ireland for the worst home nation title. The FAW should send the SOS calls to Mike Ruddock and Steve Hansen !. Different sports, but Clive Woodward is probably going to have a stab.
  14. Have you been stealing hormone tablets then ?. I wonder what the picture will be if we win the FA Cup ?.
  15. I guess that makes me a series of symbols and punctuation marks. I should qualify that statement and say some Geordies are............ I'm not a fan of Newcastle fans as they're always claiming to be the 'best fans in the world' because they all rediscovered that they had a team when Mr. Hall dished out the cash in the early 1990's. It's very arrogant, and the way they have never even given Souness a chance wasn't good either.
  16. "The Time Machine - HG Wells - Went back and re-read this one recently, a lot more going on than I remember from reading it years ago, and certainly puts the recent film version to shame, although admittedly so would watching paint dry." I am into HG Wells' sci-fi novels, and this is possibly my favourite. It is worth reading War of The Worlds as well, as you will realise how awful the propsed film starring 'Cocky Jerk TM' Tom Cruise will be. A spectacular piece of miscasting. The first Men in the Moon is also very good.
  17. Geordies are Scottish people with the brains removed. Newcastle needed a tough manager like Graeme, and now they are benefiting from it. Even now though, there was some numpty ringing Radio 5 slagging him off. These guys would want some doormat like Keegan to be there letting Dyer do what he likes in nightclubs, Bellamy moaning about being at a small club with ugly women etc.
  18. Ah, but they are minute teams in the lower leagues, and you can't criticise them as it proves the romance of the cup blah blah blah etc............
  19. You've surprised me Jan. I thought you were going to be angry and blame Souness for the early kick off and the semis being in Cardiff . (Just a joke)
  20. Old Sepultura, with Max Cavalera. It's on an album that came before Chaos AD and Roots. Can't remember the name, but the cover is a brownish orange colour.
  21. If I'm honest, I think that both teams would normally be on a similar level (with Blackburn slightly ahead, naturally), but the Jack Walker legacy has boosted Blackburn's profile and standing.
  22. Things got going in the second half, when we put Stead on and played 4-4-2, and the game opened up. It is a dilemma as our attack is pretty duff whoever plays, and whichever formation is used. I think we should start the semi with the 4-5-1, with Savage and Mokoena kicking the ____ out of Ljungberg, Reyes and co. when the ref's not looking. That will get them all angry, which will make them far less effective, and more likely to get sent off. Cynical, unpleasant, but effective.

Please delete this, as I'm going to put the same message on another thread. I can't find the tick box that allows me to do it.
  24. How dare you! How dare you! I think you'll find that's just a cover version and the mighty Motorhead's version is far superior. It drives me mad when bands get undeserved credit for covering other peoples songs. How's about Rovers coming out to the Grammy award winning "Whiplash" by Motorhead then? or "Overkill". Or "Ceremony" by New Order. I was actually quite happy with "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers that they started playing recently. I know it's a Motorhead song, but I've only heard the Sepultura version, so I I could only mention that version. How about Sweden by Divine Comedy, or Songs of Love by the same band. The latter being the Father Ted theme tune as well.
