You do have a point. It's just bewildering a team's fans panicing because Adi is on his way out. It doesn't sound right. -

Only because the 1st division is so mediocre, a burly clod like him can score. A terrible player in a terrible league. -

You know you're sh_t when your star player is Adi Panicbuyi !. -
What will annoy me is when the cup is upon us, the NOTW and co. will be going on about how they are fully behind 'our boys', how they will stuff the Krauts etc. and waving the flag. Then, as soon as we lose in the quater finals, the knives will be out for the team and manager, and the gits will question all the tactics, reasons for employing Sven. The hypocracy of these 'patriots' is sickening at times, but then what do you expect from a right wing Australian who pretends to be American ?. You'd have to be mental to be England manager with the semi-literate back stabbing scum that are within our media.

For some reason I keep thinking of the name 'Harry Redknapp'. I think Hughes is clean for the reasons stated, but as for Souness and Hodgson...............Of course I should state at this point that it is my idle speculatitive mind at work here, and I have no proof of anything. I mention Woy, as surely it would explain the £4.5m for Nathan Blake, £5.5m for Christian Dailly, £7.5m for Kevin Davies........................ . Well its the only thing I can think of to explain those signings. -

As long as Blackburn and Hughes have behaved themselves, let's rip. -
6-0 Blackburn. Hell, everyone else is being sensible, so I'm going for a Nottingham Forest styled thrashing of the Red Satanists.

I can see this being the case. Hughes would be good at Man Utd, but the Glazers would want Capello, Hitzfeld, Hiddink etc. Hughes will probably carry on at Blackburn for a fair few years yet. The only threat is if he has a lapse of sanity and joins the Newcastle circus. -

We're not in the position for sentimentality. He should be offered to interested parties for a minimal fee. It is a shame it hasn't worked out, as he seems a nice guy, but he has to go and find another team. -

So we should sell him because he didn't score against Burnley ?. What utter rot. Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen have not scored against Burnley, so should we not buy them in the very unlikely event they become available ?. -

I have played various versions of both, and if I want an arcade style bit of fun, then I'd play FIFA, and if I want something that requires a more realistic approach I play PES. The only problem I had with the PS1 version of PES was that I could get to grips with the free kicks and penalties. -

Jansen for Gallagher sounds good. I hope that his stint at Stoke will give him the boost to become a valued member of the 1st team, and he can add something different to our attacking play. Hopefully Hughes will give him a chance when he comes back. -

The sentimental part of me would be interested in a move, but the hard nosed realist would urge extreme caution. He may still be a 'pie boy', and his injury record is not fantastic. Wait and see. -

Glazer family-"Don't panic Mr. Manwaring" Ferguson to become full time racehorse owner soon ?. Financial impact The interesting thing will be whether they'll shell out the cash in order to bring in new players, or take money out of the transfer budget to plug the gap. -

Another interesting post from phillipl about financial matters. Sounds like Man Utd have to finish 2nd to make sure they don't end up having to adjust their squad to fit a new, more thrifty era in the club's history. I do hope they get a big spending manager who finds it difficult to work with financial restrictions. The only thing that will stop Chelsea is if Abrhamovic finances politicians who oppose President Putin, and he is too smart for that. -

I hope they go bust, and Ruud comes to Blackburn on the minimum wage. Yeah, I know that's as likely as Tom Cruise being a heterosexual Anglican vicar, but we can dream. Man Utd are in the poo if their fortunes don't revive very soon. They may even be figting Bolton for a UEFA cup spot by April. -

There was a good documentary on the BBC about Barca a while ago. It was following Laporta as he sought to remould the board of directors, and sort out their debts. It was during the season Rjikard became manager, Barca sunk, signed Edgar Davids, and then stormed to second place. I don't know how solid the foundations of their current spending power are, but Laporta came across as an astute and professional businessman.
