Newcastle need someone who can sort the likes of Dyer, Robert, Jenas, Bowyer out. The problem is- Souness' man management skills are virtually non-existant. I think they need to re-build from scratch- getting rid of the people who have the massive egos. There's bound to be some foreign club that would take him on as manager I'm sure.

Tony's got the team out of some sticky situations before- but Kenny really left him in it there. 1 minute to go and 7-3 down!

Excellent night- cracking atmosphere. Tugay was the star of the show- absolutely brilliant. Of the youngsters I thought Andy Taylor looked the closest to a first team spot- pushed forward well- but wasn't really tested defensively. Good to see Shearer scoring in front of the Blackburn End again- and finally getting the send off he deserved. Harshest moment of the night- Gordan Cowans comes to take a corner in front of the Blackburn End- and a section of the crowd start singing Speedie, Speedie. The poor guy looked confused. Jon Stead was trying a bit too hard to impress - some of his shooting was absolutely terrible. Paul Gallagher took both his goals well- cracking one if of the underside of the bar and putting a free-kick into the top corner. Just a few questions, there were several people missing that it would've been nice to see at least turn up (they might have done- just didn't see them): Kenna - play offs Sherwood Batty Berg Wilcox - injured? Pearce - play offs? Sutton - Cup Final Duff

I've made the play offs after keeping up my good home run. Not lost at home in the league for nearly 10 months now. Decided against going for promotion though. Playing a very weakened side and playing it cool. I'm nowhere near as good as the team I'm up against- and they've struggled this season. Think I just need another couple of seasons to build a team that can survive at the next level. I'm gonna make my club as strong as possible in the bottom division before trying to climb my way up the leagues. -

I've applied for a team called Leyland CC. Have you got a team already? How long does it usually take to get a team? Think it looks a good idea- give me something to do other than hattrick at work -

pg - I'm just worried that I'll lose supporters if I get promoted and lose most weeks. I got just shy of 36,000 fans for my last game against a side bottom of the league- who've only just joined. Getting attendances like that- and slowly building my fan base and team at the bottom level would give me a better chance in future seasons. I'm pretty confident that I could get promotion in 2 seasons time if I stay down. Definitely a few players short at the moment. -

I'm gonna go for 1-0 to the Baggies. Simply because they need it more than we do- and we're looking a little jaded. -

I'm still top with two games to go. I'm trying to get enough points to win my league for the trophy, but not enough for automatic promotion. I'll just throw the play off match if I get there. Another great youth pull this weekend- TSI 30. Two of my midfielders moved up levels on Friday though, and I've just bought a Formidable defender- so things are looking up. -
Newcastles Form (Last 16 games) WWWWWWWWDLWLLLLL He's turned them to good and back to bad again in a shorter time than it took him at Rovers. He's obviously becoming more efficient as he gets older

I thought Harkins was a midfielder? He's played there the couple of games I've seen him play.

That'll be his x-ray vision kicking in there. -
Maybe he's got a sports almanac Back to the Future style? If so- I'm going down the bookies on my dinner hour

Rovers 2 City 0? Can you tell me Saturdays Lottery numbers too?
-
We've got a run of fixtures we can get a good few points from- and possibly make the top half. Maybe give the likes of Taylor, Garner, Johnson and Barker a place on the bench for a few games. Give them 20/30 minutes of games just to get a taste.

Disagree. If you're running along and something hits you on the shoulder like that it's only natural to raise your arm to protect your face. The fact is he isn't looking at Van Persie, and suddenly he gets hit on the shoulder- it was a pure defensive reaction.

Yeah it was brilliant. I was in the upper tier, row 16 behind the goal in the North End. When they scored, it was brilliant to look round at all the flags waving and people standing. Also enjoyed sitting outside a bar after a game with about 30 Rovers fans. Everytime Arsenal fans when past- everyone went silent and started going "SSsssssshhhhhhhhhhh!". Priceless.

I was 3rd going into the weekend, but the top two drew 3-3, and my win took me top by a point. I want to win the league- but I'm being careful not to get enough points to take me up. Don't think my teams ready for promotion yet. I'd rather spend another year building the team in division 6. What's everyone else's views on this? The team that went up from my league last year has really been struggling this season. Is it the wise move to throw any play off game should I qualify? Or should I take the chance of promotion when it comes along? I'm thinking staying down is best for now- but I'd be interested to see what more experienced players think. -
One funny moment on the coach back. Not long after leaving Cardiff, a car drives past our coach with two Arsenal supporting girls in. The "big boned" one on the passenger side started making 3-0 signs at our coach with her hands. She got a chorus of "Who ate all the Pies" sung back at her - everytime we went past her car.

Ha Ha. Yes it was a great day. Anyone wanna see my dog? Class.

Where are we 7/1? I'm tempted by that. I love being written off though- it makes victory that much sweeter

Lets just hope Rovers can pull a similar shock tomorrow. I'd be happy with 6-0 though- don't wanna be greedy -

On Rovers bet Ryan Nelsen to score first goal in 1-0 win is 490-1!!!...Just imagine it!!! ...we'd be able to afford tickets to the final!
-
Thought that must be a wind up. Thank you God. Still be very hard game- but that's a bonus track. ALSO- Ryan Nelsen to score the only goal is 350-1. Worth a quid?

Ladbrokes are offering 11/2 on a Rovers win. Possible insurance bet that stands out though. They're offering 5-2 on an Arsenal win with 2 or less goals being scored in total. £20 on that could pay for the day out if it turns out to be disappointing.
