Completely agree with this. Even a Steven Gerrard type appointment until the end of the season. I'm assuming he's back living in the North West. If he fails - it was a difficult job. If he keeps us up, he looks good. He's the sort of man to get a reaction from the players. I wanted him when we went for Ismael. -

This is the sort of game where your captain rallies the lads and they come up with a big performance after the manager has gone. A Travis type. Step forward Todd Cantwell 🫣 -

True, but I can't see us getting Brighton's manager here. -

Who is they? De Neve? Henriksson? Baradji? I can't even a see a rocket up the arse working for some of these players. -

Just looking at Dapo Afolyan's career - and only one manager seems to have got a tune out of him. Ian Evatt. Wouldn't surprise me. -

We need to find a motivator that will sign a contract until February 2027. Saves paying him out when it happens again next year. -

Rovers' Deadline Day Betting: 4/6 - Alebiosu to be sold with less than an hour of the window remaining EVENS - Ismael to leave the club within a week of the window closing 2/1 - Rovers to make a ridiculously low offer for a player that they've no intention of signing 5/1 - Rovers to somehow miss out on a player due to an admin error 16/1 - Rovers to sign a player that I've actually heard of -

I tried to buy tickets on Saturday evening. The link on the website for the Sheffield Wednesday game took you to a page that said this event had happened in the past - and you couldn't buy tickets. Decided not to bother trying again. An absolute shambles of a club. -
22 points in 15 games. That's 64 points in a season. 11th.
-
11th, but point taken

If it’s anything like previous contracts (specifically Kean rather than Berg) there will be a clause in that it’s 12 months pay out. -

It's Erling Haaland. Our £3m offer fell short of City's valuation. -

There are several reasons this won't happen 😂 Cadamarteri most likely won't come here. Hedges might not play for Rovers again anyway. When did anyone ever get on the end of a Hedges cross? -

Salgado was tough as well. Steve McManaman said of Salgado: "The hardest person in the world. A genuine psychopath, even in training." -
v Hull City (h) - 31/1/26

Hull are almost 2/1 - which is a ridiculous price when you look at the current form of the teams. They've won 8, drawn 1 and lost 1 of their last 10 (counting their penalty shoot out victory over us as a win). They've won at Millwall, Middlesbrough, Southampton and Preston recently (admittedly drew at Sheffield Wednesday in the middle of all that). -

Roy Keane listed Batty as one of his toughest opponents and called him 'nasty'. I'd have Batty down as being hard. -

I think it's only Leicester that probably had more points than us when they sacked their manager. -

They've got a 12 point cushion from the team outside the play-off spots - it's not that much of a risk.
