I'm hoping the delay is either due to: 1) They're going for someone already in a job (Rather a Duff than a Wellens). 2) They're going for someone who has recently left a job and there are some issues around pay-offs from their last job being impacted (Cooper, Gerrard etc). If it ends up being a free agent at this stage, I'd assume it's not our first choice.

Whilst part of me says Duffer would be mad to take it, it's almost a free hit. He certainly doesn't need the money, I think he is pretty loaded. If he takes us up, he's a genius. If he doesn't, he can blame the circus and walk away.
