England have such a vast array of options going forward. They need to win something with this squad.

Southgate must have been inspiring at half time. Like the Italy away game. Dominated the first half and then look awful after he's had 15 minutes with them.

"I would've played for free. I'd have paid to play," he insists. "To have that amount of time playing for them in that era with those players and the fans. So many good people there, a great family club. It was incredible" Makes me even more angry at what Venky's have done to this great club. To have a brilliant servant like that and treat him which such disdain is disgusting. -
I used to work there - sad to see. The majority of what they sell goes directly from China to countries overseas - so hopefully this won't have too much impact.

From Saturday we've got 7 games in 22 days. We could do with them being ready sooner rather than later - even if they're not available for Saturday.

Top player. I remember watching him playing for Basel against an English side in Europe about 10 years ago and he took them apart. Criminally underused by Chelsea whilst he was there. I can see why an Egyptian would want to move his family from Liverpool to Dubai for a few years though and line his pockets at the same time. I wouldn't blame him for wanting to go.

1 x Europa League, 1 x FA Cup, 2 x League Cup wins But I get your point, not much return for the investment. -

Well if anyone wants to PM me some contact details I will pass them on to him. He seemed quite keen to pursue a story. -

I've been in touch with the editor of the India Today article. He would be interested in doing a fresh story regarding their investment in Blackburn Rovers. He wants accurate details and numbers. Would any of the people with more knowledge on the specifics of their investment (in numbers) being interested in getting in touch with him?- 3327 replies

Danny Rose is a terrible idea. Don't think he's played a game in almost 2 years - and he was woeful at Watford. Think he's had mental health problems hasn't he? -

When I did Google 'Venky's Under Investigation' I also found a link from 2018 which contained the following: A subsidiary of the Venky's VH group (one of the biggest chicken producers in the country which supplies food outlets including McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut) bought a front page advert in the Times of India in February 2018. It did so in response to an investigation by the Bureau, showing that Venky’s sold antibiotics to farmers to make chickens fatter.- 3327 replies

Reports suggested Henderson was being paid £700,000-per-week - four times what he was earning at Liverpool - but he denied those claims. "People can believe me or not, but in my life and my career, money has never been a motivation. Ever," he said. There's me thinking he'd gone for the money.

I always find it worse when you head into these bloody international breaks with a defeat. 3-0 win and we enter the break in the play off places with three back-to-back wins without conceding. 3-0 defeat and it's a long time until we next play and have the opportunity to make up for it. -

Thanks - hadn't previously seen the quote from Semir. Certainly seems confident in his own ability. As for Hill - there are plenty of players who have U20/U21 caps that have amounted to nothing. Harry Chapman for one. I'm not overly concerned by the Hill signing as I don't think he'll play many games at all. I'm more worried at the fact that unless Sigurdsson is top drawer - we've gone backwards from last season. -

https://rp-online.de/sport/fussball/borussia/borussia-moenchengladbach-semir-telalovic-das-ist-der-stand-v1_aid-95849645 "Semir Telalovic's application was impressive: With 15 goals and 13 assists that he collected last season for Borussia's U23s in the Regionalliga West, the striker went looking for a new club in mid-July. The hope of Telalovic and his advisors to find a place with a second or third division club has not been fulfilled so far" I'm also concerned that people seem to think Telalovic is rapid/fast. I've seen nothing to back this up from the clips I've seen - so not sure where that is coming from. As for what Hearts fans thought of Hill - they didn't think he was good enough for the Scottish Premier League - which is surely a concern? -
He's hardly torn up trees at either MK Dons or Swansea. No idea why people rate him so highly. His win percentage over his career is 37.3% compared to JDT at 47.7% for example.

Well they've spent a fortune, not got a single point so far, conceded 11 goals in 3 home games and hard to see where their first points are coming from. £19m on a keeper that hasn't played above League One level. Idea for their commercial department: Sell season tickets for their away end. I don't think they tend to play at home at the same time as Rovers', so I could go and sit in the away end every time they play and have a great time.

Well I'm going to rate each signing and then come back and laugh at how wrong I was at the end of the season: Wahlstedt - 7/10 - I think this lad must have something about him. Already a Swedish international and reportedly scouted by Manchester United and Liverpool previously. Fully expect him to be cemented as first choice by the end of the season. Tronstad - 4/10 - From what I've seen so far appears to be a bang average midfielder with no particular stand out attributes. I'd not have him as a starter. Ennis - 6/10 - From the glimpses we have seen, definitely looks like he's got something about him. But it's clear he's got issues with fitness/injuries. Expect him to get 8-10 goals this season - so not the big goal scorer we needed. Telalovic - 2/10 - Good record at a very low level. Concerned that his advisors were apparently looking for a second or third tier team to take him on in Germany and they got no takers. Then along come Rovers'. Not expecting to see much of him at all and think he'll be well down the pecking order. Sigurdsson - 8/10 - Looking forward to seeing this one when he's fit. Expect him to come strong in the second half of the season. Hill - 4/10 - As cover, he will be fine. But it's concerning how unimpressed the Hearts fans were with him. Expect him to be fourth choice centre half. Moran - 7/10 - Think he be a decent addition and get at least 5 goals and 5 assists this season. Might take him a couple of months to get up to speed of the Championship. Overall, I'd rate the window as a 3/10. I certainly don't think we are any stronger than last season, but that's due to a complete lack of budget. As little as I rate Will Keane, he'd have been a better signing on a free upfront if we knew we couldn't afford a decent striker. -

What are we basing the fact that he's rapid on?
