  1. It’s our only tactic other than hoof it to Graham - pass to Downing. My God that was Conference standard sh*te. Get Johnson on for Evans immediately and Holtby for Rothwell or Armstrong. Gallagher for Graham soon too. Need to bloody hope Tosin isn’t out for long - Lenihan and in particular Williams have looked woeful.
  2. He really is having a mare. Lenihan looks flat footed today too. As everyone is saying, missing Tosin big time. Has Dacky been on the p*ss for the last fortnight too? Long for the day where there is expectation on us and we perform. Just never, ever happens.
  3. Welcome back old Del Williams. You’ve not been missed.
  4. Jesus Christ we’re making them look like Pep’s Barcelona. Get a foot on the ball FFS.
  5. Yep - they’re too defensive as a pairing. We’ve been so pedestrian - don’t look quick on the counter at all. Come on boys, let’s get going!
  6. Tony deserves the benefit of the doubt but I’m very surprised Johnson isn’t starting - he was absolutely immense at Bristol City. Let’s hope we don’t miss Tosin too much too. COYB, 3 points please.
  7. Brum getting an absolute drubbing at Hull - great chance for 6 points in the next 2 games (yes I know what we’re like at choking).
  8. Cardiff are bloody awful - not sure how PNE aren’t winning this one.
  9. Whilst I agree on the LB and GK front, I do think a striker who could regularly find the back of the next (i.e. a younger Graham), would be the difference between us reaching the play-offs and not. Gallagher has improved over the past few weeks but he's never going to score consistently. Completely acknowledge that a) everyone is looking for one and b) they're not cheap. But if the V's are going to back Tony, then that would make the biggest impact for me. No 'promising youngster' either, we've enough of those - a PL striker on loan would be ideal. Kodjia or Gayle maybe? Be competition for both but for me we should be throwing our hat in the ring if players like this come up.
  10. Eating a lovely slice of humble pie tonight. We were great today - first to most balls, bossing the possession, threatening on the break. Everything we want to see from a Rovers side. Excellent 3 points.
  11. A 10 minute walk for me this one following a move to Bristol earlier this year. Would personally take another point if offered now; Millwall aside they're pretty decent at home and have had a day's rest on us. Hopefully see a few of you in the local boozers on Saturday.
  12. Got the feeling of a big game for us, this. COYB - let’s kick on!
  13. Jordan Rhodes had them on toast on his debut (or was it second match?) for us years ago. But agreed - from memory it's not been great since at Ashton Gate.
  14. What happened last night fella? Did you field your best team etc.? Shock of the night that one for me.
  15. Let's hope so! Got to start on the front foot tonight - their players and fans will be extremely edgy after Sunday. Get an early goal and we should go on to win it. But this is Rovers as we all know...
  16. We have a day’s extra rest on Swansea - so none of this rotation rollocks please Tony. Get the same team out there and take the game to them.
  17. On quite a run at the moment aren’t they. Long may it continue.
  18. Hamer is a good shot stopper but terrible when put under pressure - need to get Graham close to him today and get plenty of crosses in.
  19. It was in a story linking us to a Ross County(?) striker - Gayle was mentioned as it was a Stoke led article I believe from memory.
  20. Where does his 4-1 prediction come from? The same place as every one of his other Rovers predictions, K Hod.
  21. France, Germany and Portugal all in the same group. Some group of death that.
  22. Who is starting the promotion thread?
  23. Never ever doubted big Sam...
  24. Heard any whispers, Paul?
