  1. Buzzing for the lad but at the same time angry that it’s taken this long for him to get his chance. I could understand it if the dynamic duo of Smallwood and Evans (particularly the former) were pulling up trees - but they haven’t been. I haven’t even watched him at under 23 level but could tell in his cameos from last season that he had something about him and deserved a fair crack. It’s his shirt to lose now or Mowbray loses face big time.
  2. Did not see that result coming pre match. Don’t care how it came about - the important thing is the huge 3 points. Well done TM and boys.
  3. Poor sub. I think we know what’s coming here. Infuriating to be 2 up and let them back into it.
  4. They’ve come back into it big time by the looks. Barnes has Bennett on toast.
  5. Injured. He’d never completely drop his Del.
  6. I saw that. He needs to dump that bint he’s with - seems no coincidence that his form plummets when she’s on the scene.
  7. Another 5 changes today. Christ we need some consistency in the selection soon, Tony.
  8. We need to win so Graham simply has to start over Brereton. Not a chance of 0-0 Phillip! They score for fun and can’t defend and we...well can’t defend!
  9. In a nutshell. Hadenuffs argument is the same one peddled on social media by 90% of our fans and it just doesn’t hold up as you rightly point out. ‘But we’ve faced all the hard teams’ ‘What do we expect against X?’ ‘I assumed we’d get 0 points anyway’. 1 win in bloody 9 people. Needs to change starting today.
  10. Maybe they’re waiting(hoping) until we win today so they can break it easier?
  11. JHC if that’s the sum of our ambitions then we may as well all pack up and head home. Quality, not quantity as you keep telling us, Tony.
  12. You know what I mean - a team who has just come down from the PL with a load of dosh. Hope the boys come out firing tomorrow - they owe us big time after the past ten matches.
  13. I see some clubs - Sheff Utd and WBA - have already strengthened with loan signings ready for when the window opens tomorrow. You’d bloody hope we’re not far behind in our recruitment given the defensive monstrosities we’ve witnessed this season.
  14. Rodriguez has had his red card overturned so can play tomorrow. Said as a big club in this division that would happen.
  15. Apparently so - their forums say it and SSN. Bizzarre that the FA(?) will leave it so late. I’m sure we haven’t contested Smallwood’s as we haven’t heard anything about it.
  16. That’s got to be a huge positive then. Absolutely zero reason not to go at them tomorrow if their two best players are out. Still think we’ll lose mind, but it’s got to be a boost to a deflated team. Edit: looks like the outcome of Rodriguez’ red will be tomorrow AM. As they’re a big club in the division I’m sure they’ll go easy on him!
  17. Lightening quick Gayle vs. Williams, Lenihan and chums. Gulp.
  18. Re: the V’s not getting rid. Agree he would appear to be running the joint with Waggot but it only ever takes one advisor to get in the ear of Blingy/Madam for a manager to be potted. Also, don’t forget that TM had to extinguish their lofty ambitions during the summer. As long as she isn’t holding regular FaceTime coffee mornings with Mrs Mowbray then we should be okay.
  19. Another festive sickener forthcoming here. Reckon the Baggies will run out 4-1 winners with TM bemoaning officials and our ability to defend once again.
  20. We’re calling out for 2 x true wingers rather than this striker come winger/inside forward rollocks.
  21. If that’s the case you’d be dismissing a fair few footballers nowadays and certainly the ones with a bit of an edge, which we could do with.
  22. Mowbray’s handling of him has been poor IMO. I’m not defending his lackadaisical attitude at times but other managers have clearly got a big tune out of him at this level. Every time he’s put in half a decent performance he’s then been dropped. As you say, he’ll move to another club in the Championship and I’ll bet he’ll do a decent job. It leaves us with another gap to fill of a player who can make an impact at this level.
  23. CF was my #1 priority but this has slid to number #3 in the pecking order following one disastrous defensive display after another. Number 1 on the list has to be a double hard, no nonsense, big bugger at CB. Closely followed by a LB who actually resembles a LB rather than the shower of sh!te we’ve seen there all season in two different guises. Next up has to be a CF who can challenge Graham - note to Tony - not to be shunted out wide. We could also do with at least one winger and a central midfielder to finally knock the King off his perch. Just how the heck are we in this recruitment position after shelling out the best part of £10 million in the summer?
  24. Yep completely agree. Mentioned it a few times - absolutely nobody is showing leadership on that pitch so the buck must stop with Mowbray and Mulgrew. Mowbray for not bringing any of the correct types in - just head nodders - and Mulgrew for not showing anything resembling captain material other than to bang a few free kicks in. Get some hard bastard in January and give him the armband. That will ruffle a few feathers.
  25. We haven’t had a reaction - Sheff Weds aside - for 9 games. Can’t see it happening against the Baggies. Gayle will be licking his lips after watching Lenihan and Williams in recent weeks.
