  1. ‘Replacement options not lined up’. Well that doesn’t surprise me! He simply cannot go unless that changes - do not do another Arma.
  2. Just no chance he can go there if we have any shred of nous behind the scenes. Sell the f*cker to anyone bar Bournemouth and QPR.
  3. I mean. Squad player ok. But IF Rothwell is going we better bloody have a permanent and very, very decent replacement lined up. And can he f*ck go to Bournemouth.
  4. He’s usually bang on, unfortunately. This would be INSANE from us. As for Rothwell then he’s a little rat. Jesus Christ.
  5. Yep. Looking most likely unless he fancies the American dream (but then his missus will need to forget any Towie dreams). To be a fly on the wall in the changing rooms come Tuesday morning. Enjoy it, Joe mate.
  6. If true then he’s shown his true colours. What planet does he think we all live on?! Screw the bloke.
  7. Putting it in here as the transfer thread is pretty crazy understandably. Bournemouth look to be signing Dembele from Posh according to Pete O’Rourke. They’re also heavily linked to Todd Cantwell and Neco Williams. Probably easier to ask which decent player they’re not linked with! Hopefully their administration are as bad as ours at getting deadline day deals over the line.
  8. From Pete O’Rourke: Hearing Bournemouth have agreed a deal for Peterborough's Siriki Dembele. A number of clubs have been chasing Dembele but Bournemouth have agreed undisclosed fee with Peterborough for the winger. #afcb #pufc Is there anyone they’re not after/signing?!
  9. Looks like he’s just done a stint on love island.
  10. Todd Cantwell could be heading to Bournemouth on loan. Real random one that, but could be a massive coup for them. They may be getting Neco Williams on loan too.
  11. A few of our old boys can surely dig deep here.
  12. I know TM likes a square peg in a round hole but Hedges cannot be the Rothwell replacement as they’re two completely different players. Expect Hedges to largely play out wide or in the false 9 role.
  13. We simply cannot allow that to happen tomorrow. Surely Rothwell only leaves IF we get a decent replacement over the line. Like you though, nothing would surprise me under this administration.
  14. Last night reflecting on this I kept thinking back to Rothwell’s very muted celebration against Cardiff. Yes there were no fans there, but something didn’t look right. I don’t get how some are pinning this on Mowbray. Nobody knows what’s happened behind closed doors but I get the sense that Rothwell can’t have been busting a gut to play yesterday when his teammates desperately needed him.
  15. Indeed. Especially when we could barely field a bench and had every attacker either injured or pick one up during the game.
  16. Good shout. Different types of players though. A Swift and O’Brien combo would be unreal for this league!
  17. Got chatting to a Barnsley fan at work the other day about Hedges. Said he was often a bit part player for them and always performed better from the bench. The clamour would build for a start and then he would flatter to deceive. Sounds like they were keen on him sticking around but he saw himself as a starter. He knows a fair bit about Blackburn my friend and he has high doubts he has the quality needed for a promotion chasing team. However he did cite previous ex Barnsley players in Arma and Rothwell as being successes at us that Hedges could follow!
  18. Not a bad list - I think we need a bit of experience rather than replacing him with a Mcatee for example though (I wouldn’t be against signing him, just not straight in for Joe). I’d add Grimes to that list; I read Fulham were in for him for £2.5m in the summer. He’s got experience, passing range, leadership - pretty much everything we’d want. Pity the pit wasn’t bottomless as O’Brien at Hudds is probably the best CM in the league.
  19. Another headache that we now have is Edun apparently left the stadium in a protective boot. We’ll surely be needing a left back in if he’s out for any period with Pickering a few weeks off. When it rains.
  20. Never underestimate how stubborn our owners are, pal.
  21. I don’t understand any of the ‘fair enough Rothwell’ chat. If Brentford have come in with a bid, great for him, but don’t let your teammates down when we’re fighting tooth and nail for promotion and have no attacking players to call upon. Play today, give it your all, and then see what happens before Monday.
  22. That better bloody be the case as if it’s Arma all over again then I’ll be fuming.
  23. I’m sorry but there’s ways to go about it. You don’t act like that when we can barely cobble together a squad for such an important game. F*ck yourself, Joe.
  24. FFS Joe. Four months mate. I hope his teammates are giving him grief. He’s really let us down today given how depleted we were.
  25. You take a point given we’re not far off half of our B team out there, but it’s tough to take with Bournemouth and QPR winning. Simply have to bring in 2-3 decent players by Monday evening. Anything less isn’t good enough.
