  1. Yep. Not gonna happen in England with the fans here etc. IF convicted. Can't see who takes Goodwillie either given the PR around this.
  2. Just seen that. What a sorry episode. His best bet is to bugger off abroad. As will Greenwood's one day too, you would imagine.
  3. Seemingly no let up below us. We need to do the business on Saturday.
  4. Rule number 1 - never ever follow Merce’s betting tips. Hopefully he can get you a pint at Ewood sometime to compensate.
  5. Just seen this. That's really disappointing news...it had looked like they were going to persevere with him. At least the window is shut as they're some decent bodies down, particularly up front.
  6. Why? Their confidence must be extremely low. We need to take advantage of that come Saturday, and I think we will.
  7. From what I saw of them against QPR, yep, they still play out from the back and are very much a possession focused side. For my money they’re exactly the type of team that we should flourish against, so we need to be targeting a win here.
  8. Our old boy Goodwillie aka the new Wayne Rooney, isn't going down well at Raith Rovers: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-60214769
  9. Indeed. For all my moaning last night, I agree they have one big issue - Parker. Spoke to my old man this morning (non Rovers fan) and he said exactly the same, "they can sign who they want but they won't get promoted with him in charge." Great to see WBA sticking with Ismael too. They backed him over Snodgrass and a mini player rebellion by all accounts.
  10. Rumour has it, their players will be travelling by train to every match from now on.
  11. Good to see other fans coming together on social media tonight laying into Bournemouth. They’ve really put a target on their back today. I for one would love them to fall on their sword.
  12. Exactly. Who is doing the negotiating? Who signs off? If it’s Waggott and Venus then it’s akin to having the Chuckle brothers behind the scenes. One is a terrible CEO and the other is an assistant manager! It just strikes me as a two bob operation and on deadline day it really gets found out. The second we come up against any sort of competition, we’re gazumped.
  13. I’m in a critical mood tonight but it can’t just be me who thinks we never seem to have plan B’s lined up. It was Maja or nothing in the summer and seemingly Dembele or nobody today.
  14. Imagine a few clubs will be in for him but offering Snodgrass a deal to the end of the season would be sensible to me. Sounds like he’s only out of the door as he’s fallen out with Ismael. Would add some real experience in helping us to potentially get over the line.
  15. QPR stole Jeff Hendrick at the death from Boro. Decent signing for them. That signing made me think just how reliant we are on Trav. Needs wrapping in cotton wool that boy as nobody else can do that job.
  16. Yep. We need to hope Brereton comes back from international duty as Diaz and that he doesn’t get injured for any spell, because I really can’t see where consistent goals are coming from otherwise.
  17. Thought I’d have a scan of what our rivals have been up to today and it quite literally is, just all about Bournemouth. The only other club to have been relatively active are Forest who have brought in Sam Surridge and England U21 defender Panzo. Good to know that QPR, WBA, Boro and even Fulham fans will be feeling a little dissapointed too tonight.
  18. We perennially cannot get business done on transfer deadline day. Excuse after excuse year in year out. We get the same claptrap in the build up, every single time, and never ever deliver. Given Mowbray has admitted that our assistant manager often leads negotiations then it really is little wonder, especially with Waggott behind the scenes too. It’s not good enough - we need a director of football or similar who knows what they’re doing.
  19. I can’t be the only one thinking that even if Rothwell had gone they’d have still buggered up bringing a replacement in. We’re fighting to be a premier league team on the pitch yet we’re a non league outfit off it.
  20. Bournemouth must be getting Cantwell as they’ve tweeted photos of Dembele, Woodman, Phillips and Moore with the words ‘so far…’ Us on the other hand…
  21. Death, taxes and Rovers giving it the biggun and doing bugger all on transfer deadline day.
  22. Agree or disagree that we’ve had a good or bad window but you can’t argue that we have a tinpot administration in place to get deals wrapped up. We fail on deadline day every single time. Waggott, Venus, whoever it is - it simply isn’t good enough to challenge other clubs.
