Key has played 31 times for Exeter this season and 82 times in all having come through the ranks. He is under contract until 2023 and was the subject of £1m bid from Sunderland last summer. The 22-year-old is a player the club have looked at in this window. See if anything more emerges in the next few hours. Right back certainly a position Rovers have strengthened in this window, with the loan arrival of Deyovaisio Zeefuik and James Brown, but still the uncertainty over the long-term future of Ryan Nyambe.
