  1. I sometimes mistake them for my own.
  2. Just to note the poll stood at 60 to stay and 75 to go before the Stoke match kicked off... now 59 to 91. That said I imagine a lucky win would swing it back to a tighter margin, as it usually did under Kean.
  3. If we get into a relegation scrap we will go down. Neither the manager nor the players have it in them to win that kind of fight. Fortunately I don't see it happening this season. Too many terrible teams below us. Next season though? We're in huge trouble if Mowbray is still manager. He will relegate us.
  4. Just forced myself to take a look back at our results under Kean to see if he took us on a worse run... In 2010-11 we went on a run of 4 points out of 30 between February and March. We then won and drew a few in April to keep our heads above water. In 2011-12 we started off with 4 points out of 39 (!) which was our worst run of the season. Mowbray isn't quite there yet, so for now he doesn't hold the record for worst run under Venky's. Lose our next three games though and he will do. We never came close to a run this bad under Coyle.
  5. He's readily admitted to letting the players manage and critique themselves in the dressing room, so yeah, I'd say he has very little authority.
  6. They'll be back together next week. The pair of them never seem to have gotten past the mental age of 15, and that might be generous.
  7. 60 points we'll do well to get another 3. This manager is so far out of his depth it's frightening. People like to slate Bowyer nowadays but we never came close to a run like this under GB, even when he'd been forced to sell all of our best players and make do with freebies and loans.
  8. Four of our last five home matches have ended in a 1-0 defeat - Bristol City, Boro, Preston and Stoke. Totally unacceptable and at the vast majority of clubs Mowbray would be removed from his position and rightly so. You just can't keep losing home games like this. We've also conceded in the first 20 minutes in 8 of the last 11 matches! That is absolutely appalling.
  9. Evans/Smallwood at home to Stoke ffs. Bennett in the no10 role. It's like Mowbray is trying to lose on purpose at this point.
  10. Losing home games is usually a sign that the end is near, but unfortunately I fear we have another summer of baffling recruitment ahead of us and a relegation battle next season. Although based on these performances it won't be so much a battle as a collapse.
  11. Go suddenly makes a jump of 6, whilst stay loses a vote. I guess losing to Stoke was the final straw for some.
  12. Yeah, Bolton probably not staying up... Losing 2-0 at home to Ipswich gwan Lambo!
  13. 60 people on here apparently back TM, although other than the usual suspects they are suspiciously quiet in the stay or go? thread ?
  14. I'd take him as manager at this point if it meant Mowbray was gone.
  15. So most likely 4 points out of 33 by 5 o'clock, a slim chance of 5/33. Our worst run under Venky's?
  16. Have we come back from behind to win at any point this season?
  17. The Vita is a nice piece of kit, well worth getting with a lot of good games. I went a slightly different route and got a PSTV for about £40 as I don't really play games on the go, so I figured having a stationary Vita was fine. I mainly got it for Persona 4 Golden, though, as at the moment I believe having a Vita/PSTV is the only way to play it. I got a little way into it but not much further yet.
  18. Left back, right back, centre back and proper competition for Graham are the vital areas for me. We have enough midfielders to adapt to whatever system we employ next season, and if we don't have enough money to replace Raya then he should still be competent enough to not cost us too many points.
  19. Playing two DM's in Evans & Smallwood is too defensive, especially at home against average/poor clubs. That axis desperately needs to disappear. A shame we signed the pair of them up to new contracts this season. What a waste of money.
  20. Well they don't seem to be given them in training either, so we're running out of communication avenues!
  21. I agree with all of your post - but as far as his comments are concerned I don't think they are meant maliciously. I think he's made a lot of inadvisable and even stupid remarks (the stuff about Raya was unnecessary, as well as his comments on Rothwell and as you mentioned, the Mulgrew ridiculousness) but much of it is down to a combination of naivety and muddled thinking. I'm not sure TM can see the wood for the trees at the moment. A lot of the things he highlights are minor issues in terms of why we are where we are and the problems the team faces. At the open chat he did with the supporters he was far more candid and on the ball, but for whatever reason when he's talking to the press he comes out with a lot of questionable quotes. Perhaps some are aimed at the owners and their advisers - it wouldn't be the first time a manager of ours has used the press as a partial conduit to them, although Mowbray's supposed good relationship with Venky's should negate the need for those kind of tactics (and I'm also not sure what point he'd be making to them with a lot of his comments anyway).
  22. Lenihan is already 25 so he's likely already close to his peak potential. It's easy to still think of him as a young player but he is now a defender in his prime and will be playing at close to his full potential already. That said the raw attributes are definitely there, so an older player with more footballing intelligence could certainly benefit his game. Nyambe is only 21 so still a few years to keep improving, but I'm not convinced he's going to get anywhere in our current system. He's gotten a little better purely through the amount of game time he's had over the past couple of seasons, but I'm not sure how much he's gaining from the coaching staff. Raya is another whose development seems to have noticeably stagnated this season, whilst the likes of Rothwell and Brereton haven't kicked on at all. Travis came in on fire but a lot of that has been extinguished. Question marks over the coaching at this club, imo. Even our senior players are making the same mistakes repeatedly.
  23. Indeed. Considering the money that's already been available and the calibre of player brought in on those funds... what evidence is there to suggest the Dack money will go towards anything other than a few more mediocre players? Probably more strikers to convert to wingers.
