  1. WAR didn't get off the ground because it didn't have any members to drive it forward. Following the Blakeys meeting, fans stayed in the pre-existing groups. A group of fans came together at the first Ewood Park WMC meeting on 05.10.16 who had never met before and weren't affiliated to any of the existing groups. They were able to keep those meetings going and also involve the existing groups. Those meetings have been held twice a month ever since. The next meeting is 7.30 Tuesday 25 April, Ewood Park WMC. All welcome.
  2. Shaun I'm referring to Preston's 2015 coffin raising after promotion to the Championship.
  3. Woody is the man to speak to at Brig. The last coffin ceremony held at Brig was the raising of Preston's coffin. The committee liaised in advance with South Ribble Borough Council and Lancs police. They made it a charity event and stewarded the procession from The Hob Inn, down Station Road, stopping at the Trades Club where the coffins are lowered to or raised from the cellar, to School Lane and back to the Withy Arms where the coffin was put on display.
  4. Stanley v Cambridge Utd tonight. Is Wharton playing? Anyone going?
  5. 40 days until the start of the Lancashire League season - 16 April.
  6. First time at The Villa in Clitheroe on Sunday. It was warm, well lit and comfortable. Service and food were excellent. Recommended.
  7. The Howard Kendall philosophy: keep a clean sheet in every game. That led to a 15 game unbeaten run and promotion (14 wins was it?), punctuated by a draw with Exeter City and ended with a defeat by Exeter City.
  8. Anyone been to The Villa in Clitheroe?
  9. The club will never recover until Venkys & 'partners/stakeholders' leave. Until that day, I am quite happy to see the back of Mr Coyle because he was taking us down. On Mr Mowbray, let's give him a chance, if he keeps us up that's the best I am hoping for and I will be grateful. In the meantime, we should all keep an eye on the bigger picture, the unfolding power struggle to run the club.
  10. New Telegraph House is for sale. Isn't the editorial done in Newport now?
  11. Sir May I suggest that is not dedication but that you have taken an 'opportunity' that has 'presented itself'. Regarding your not having visited Blackburn, I would also suggest that you are the ultimate boycotter. Well done sir!
  12. The Chiffons - One Fine Day (Venkys Will Be Gone)
