  1. I thought it was ok for what it was up until johnny depp showed up and the film fell apart, its similar to the human centipede just not as well made(considering they are both small budget indie horror films) kevin smiths a good writer but he's a pretty poor director in my opinion. If you like Michael park you should watch smiths last film 'red state' park is great in that and i actually liked that film a fair bit(apart from the stupid final scene that smith addded which ruined everything that came before it)
  2. 'Beans on bloody toast' pleases tell me your taking the pish, thats not really the name of a band! Actually beans on "bloody" toast sounds more like a bands name
  3. If you havent watched it alteady you should watch 'the bridge' its the show that the tunnel tried to copy.
  4. Tv shop windows with a can of kestrels and a pocket full of dogends 😀
  5. £10 a month? I always pay £5.99 Netflix is very poor for films, i only use it for tv shows, and even then it depends what kind of shows you like, i mainly watch american stuff so its ideal for me, but if you mainly just watch British stuff its not really worth it. Last month i signed up to the free months trial of 'now tv' movies, the film selection is really good but at £10 a month not really worth it for me as ive usually seen most of the new films long before they're available on any streaming service so after the free trial i went to cancel and was offered 3 months @ £4.99 a month, i took them up on it. I imagine they'd make the same offer to those that tried one of their other free trials(tv entertainment, sports) but then went to cancel at the end. P.s. the canadian version is also good phil and shows some things that arent always on the US version.
  6. Thats about where i stopped watching as well, it wasnt bad upto then, just not good enough to get me hooked
  7. I blasted through all the seasons of Damages last year, court room shows wouldn't normally be my cup of t(although it isn't really a regular court room show) Glen Close is brilliant in the show and how can you not like Rose byrne yum yum(and an very talented actor of course) lots of really good characters along the way played by some brilliant 'forgotten men' actors'(Ted Danson, martin Short, Tate Donovan) really smart show full of twists and turns. I really like Timophy Olyphant as an actor but couldn't get into justified.
  8. Its ridiculous how many guys from that golden WWF period in the late 80s early 90s are dead or physically wrecked all for the sake of what's basically just a circus created for entertainment only. One thing I liked about Rowdy Piper was that he just looked like a regular bloke, he wasn't particularly big or muscular, he was just a good athlete with a lot of charisma and personality
  9. Really cant wait for Twin Peaks return next year, Im a massive Lynch fan and love all his films and tv, he's going to be writing and directing all the eps along with the original writers with lots of the original cast returning I imagine, the shows going to put everything else on tv to shame(for me anyway) Its been a long while now since David Lynch has directed anything and I think its going to be immense seeing how far he can push things in todays tv climate where pretty much anything goes. So I'm now going to have to re-watch twin peaks along with x-files(a show which owes a lot to twin peaks)
  10. £50 is a good price for such a big collection, yea it can be pot luck with ebay at times with that kind of item, I think the one I so was actually about £25 but 'collection only' no delivery(but it was only from preston or somewhere else not to far) I just didn't have the spare money at the time or want it that much as it was before they announced the new series was coming. With amazon I at least try to buy from the "other sellers" so at least the smaller businesses and manufacturers are getting something, most of the time the price is pretty much the same or even cheaper.
  11. I was tempted to buy the lot off ebay for about £30, but then realised they're actually available to watch on Netflix(USA and Canada versions) and can also be 'acquired' for download from the usual web sources, I'm that lazy these days that I cant even be bothered messing with dvds especially all that disk changing with boxets. and I wasn't claiming that you where rich haha, just in a more comfortable closer to middle class(whatever that is now) position, sorry if my assumptions where wrong though(all though I am usually close to the money and spookily perceptive about these things, I could be an X-file) This weekend I've started to watch penny dreadful, I'm only a few eps in but I'm really enjoying it so far
  12. I really want to watch all of the x-files before this new series of it starts, I watched the first 2 seasons when it originally aired but then lost track and never got back into it(remember back then how hard it was to follow American shows on sky 1 before sky+ and dvd boxsets existed) I need to watch it right back from the beginning though but im finding the 1st season now looks so dated its hard to get into and there's so many seasons of it(proper long seasons as well like us shows back then all had)
  13. "The police" ha! You could call them saying there's an axe wielding maniac prawling around your house and it would take them an hour(at least) to show up.
  14. @#/? I had no idea brmc where playing in Manchester this week, do you know if tkts are still availale, easily one of my favourite and most listened to bands of recent times, I saw them play at the ritz in manc a few years ago, not the best venue but they where still excellent(and the female drummer they had at the time was pretty hmhm 'tallented/hubbahubba im going to see modest mouse in manc tomorrow night, another great us indi/alt/rocknroll band EDIT- sorry! I don't know where I got that 'they are playing Friday night' out of your post, Im proper loosing it(is this what getting old feels like, shudder) though Ill just put it down to wishful thinking
  15. Im sure a lot more people on here would be interested in a round of crazy golf.
  16. So are either of you actually going to take mike up on his idea or are you both just all keyboard talk? P.s. chaddy can be your caddy (sorry, Somebody had to say it,now @#/? off whilst i get my coat)
  17. Do you really have to call me a prat(or any or derogatory name)?
  18. Do they allow Zimmer frames and mobility scooters on golf courses? sorry Mike I won't go on further, golfs not my bag at all, but I'm sure you'd be able to get a few people interested.
  19. yes right, well hard. Don't forget to adjust your swing accordingly due to the massive chip on your shoulder though.
  20. ive just started watching series 2 of Lillyhammer, Paul kaye is brilliant in the 1st episode, playing a right nasty cockney *bleep*
  21. Just as another option for you I recommend Gregson Henry cycles in accy for repairs, servicing and buying good quality refurbished 2nd hand bikes, low prices but excellent advice, customer service and quality and a really down to earth shop.
  22. caught about 30 seconds of that awful crap west, luckily I spotted they where showing suedes set on bbc4, they where excellent as usual, they're easily one of the best uk live acts to survive the 90s) brett Anderson is a proper frontman, they just don't make them that good anymore.
  23. yes it shows the squirrels out in force in this one to, haven't noticed the tv adds though
  24. Far More than 'seem' if even a wuarter of the testimonies in the doc are true. Cruise is a conundrum, he comes across as vile, egotistical and narcasistic as the rest of the leaders in the doc but he's such a great charismatic actor and so frickin enthusiastic it makes it really hard to dislike him even though i know i really should.
  25. The organisations just run by depraved conmen(and women) the followers are just your usual easily lead lost souls that get sucked into these kinds of cults.(or at leasy thays how its portrayed in the doc)That said some of the techniques they practice(ie.'reducing') probably would be very effective techniques to use in phsychiatry by profesionals that wouldn't abuse it to virtually blackmail theire patients.
