  1. i thought it entertaining enough but was safe and buy the numbers(typical JJ Abraham) I thought having almost identical key plot elements to 'a new hope' was pretty lame, with all the money and scrip & screenplay twriters writers in the world at their disposal they could have come up with something more original, On the plus side though i think it was a solid platform to build on going forward, hopefully the writers and director of the coming films will be bolder and more original. p.s. I think killing off 'that character' so soon in the trilogy and in such a lame arse way was a major guff.
  2. Has anybody been to that new restaurant next to the tesco express on whalley new rd(brownhill end) I think its classes itself as a gourmet restaurant of some kind, it's in a scruffy spot and the outside of the restaurant looks cheap, but it looks pretty fancy inside.
  3. Theres is a capt phasma aperently, Ive not seen it yet, i am a big fan of starwars but I'm waiting for all this pathetic fuss around it to die down first, it makes me cringe seeing adults act like children and getting all giddy over a popcorn movie(light entertainment)
  4. Ive been there a few times, good qualty food, nice surrounding area for walks, vut most of all i just like the name of the place
  5. and probably ordered to either attend or go a week without food
  6. another month, another pro steve'the detestable'kean propaganda piece from the red tops http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ex-blackburn-boss-steve-kean-6950096?
  7. I wish the broccolis would just let go of the reigns(as Lucas did with starwars) and just let quality film-makers go back and do proper mature adaptions of the original novels, real spy movies(not silly overblown unoriginal action movies) I think the Bourne films(there's a new one being made with Damon&Greengrass back) and the MI films are superior to the modern bond films(in both the action and spy departments)
  8. Sweet finish from Mahoney, though he was given a ridiculous amount of space by the oppo and any half decent keeper would have saved tomlinsons goal, still id love to see them in the 1st team along with 1 or 2 others.
  9. I really don't get what all the fuss is about recent bond films, they're just throwaway action films, nothing more nothing less, aside from some nice cinematography and action scenes they have nothing else to offer and the last couple of films have just been more like tribute movies to the earlier connery/moore films.
  10. Sad to hear that Any Cole has been so ill and still has a long way to go to full recovery http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/13944707.Former_Blackburn_Rovers_and_Manchester_United_striker_suffering_from_kidney_failure/?ref=mac great goalscorer, he was brilliant for us in his 1st couple of years(until his lazy troublemaking mate signed) playing alongside Jansen
  11. why are they playing that keany stadium, its god awful for music gigs in my experience, why dont these big bands play somewhere new and original for a change.
  12. why bloody stanley, they should be sent to a league 1 club at least and even then only a club that has very good training facilities, coaches and pitches, so that they can keep progressing without to high of an injury risk due to poor playing surfaces, bad training and poor referees. Tomlinson in particular looks like he could probably do a job in this league at the right club.
  13. So thats the promising Callum hendry seriously injured before his career has really started, not very wise imo to send young(still physically growing) players out to backstreet borderline amature leagues where they wont be protected from by decent refs or play on decent pitches.
  14. I re-newed my car insurance through 'compare the market' at the weekend and signed up for the 2 for 1 cinema offer, it lasts for twelve months, only downside is that it's only valid on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, still a very good offer though and most importantly they where finding the lowest price insurance deals i could find on the web so i probably would have gone through them regardless(not going to say 'cheapest' because car insurance is never cheap, the robbing barstewards) I went with Hastings. p.s. and if you don't fancy the 2for1 one cinema deal you have the option of choosing a Meercat figure instead(if that floats your boat) p.p.s! I think it was on watchdog a few weeks ago about people buying very cheap travel insurance so that they could receive the 2for1 offer, I think they said that they where closing that loophole though.
  15. me to, its just rubbish, same goes for "dance" music
  16. "Hear the lyrics and learn the songs" Me to, which is one of the reasons i love oasis and the like
  17. Marrs one of the great British guitarists of all time(obligatory 'imo') But going to watch him sing and front a band just sounds wrong. His collaberations are usually pretty great though, i liked the stuff he did with modest mouse(who where immense when i wrnt to ser them in manc a few months ago) and his noel gallager collabs are also usually good. P.s. and Sorry mike but your taste in music frightens me more and more every time you bring them up (but i suppose its cool that you're not into things that are considered cool, youre like an 'hipster' in reverse )
  18. wow! I didn't think that you'd be so kinky Mike
  19. "Chaser"? Get what, your angry inch?
  20. Taylors not quite in the calibre of duff though(maybe a 4/5th rate version)
  21. taylors one of those players that's always puffing and panting from the the 1st minute like he's out of shape(but then still just pops up out of nowhere to produce the goods)
  22. Tbh id prefer our exciting youth players where kept as far away from bowyer as possible, he'd only misuse them and put a big dampner on their progresion.
