  1. I think he is a terrible man manager. Good at killing players natural attributes and shooting their confidence to hell.
  2. I think we will play well and lose due to lack of ability to score. Gonna get testy for a while.
  3. Think we need a Danny Graham type and a Jermaine Jones type. Or a BBD type that knows how to stay onside.
  4. So that's what happened to Markanday, and here's me thinkin he deserved a start. What's he done? Anyway this is Wharton's thread. I have seen this kid 3 times and I love him. I think he will be a big big player for us. Buckley should be worried I think
  5. Needs time. My feeling are mixed see some positives but yet concerned. He does not have the players he needs to play his way. As in most of our lot aren't capable The young uns and second string seem to have taken it on board better. (lower league opponents help perhaps). Buckley.to.me looks like he's on a sulk, young Wharton outshine him so much. Call these academy lads kids.and too young but some of em may quickly become mainstays if the bug boys don't buck up.
  6. 100% agree. He should have brought on Hedges instead of Dolan. Anithers game outcome heavily influenced by a bad bad official. Why us an elbow in the face in the box not a pen. I can appreciate letting the game flow and not calling all the heavy challenges but a foul us a foul is a foul. Hands arms elbows not allowed. Constant pushing and holding but they knew they would get away it. I don't think so.e if these first teamers have the technical ability to play JDT football. Some if them will be replaced by the Academy lads. I love the look of the younger Wharton. Can he come in for the ineffective Buckley? This kid played really well and has a really good pass on him and the vision to go with it. For me he starts next game. Morton starts, Hedges and .arkanday too. I think today JDT gave a few players a final chance to prove themselves, they failed. Poor first touches sloppy passes. Yes I think we will be seeing more of the younger ones and in Wharton and Markanday we have two little gems. Back to looking up at the Dingles, buggar.
  7. Watched the replay and zi can not remember.the last time zi could use entertaining and exciting in the same sentence as Rovers. I thiught Markanday looked good, a couple of his 360's with the ball were very Meccyesque. Good footwork, looks promising to me. Anyway enjoyed the performance. Throws down a good marker to the regulars, buck up ir a replacement is ready to take your spot.
  8. If rumours are to be believed we could have all 6 ready to sign but the signings would not be approved by Venks till a week after the window closes So, we are stuffed We will NOT get Van anyone either.
  9. 4-0 to Bradford I said, happy I was wrong. Encouraged the performance was good. Even more so since the good performance was by the second string (3rd in some cases) especially after two poor showings by the first team. This, and Hartlepool game, should lay down a warning that lads are ready to take the shirt from the less than good performers, this is good. Hiw was young Wharton last night, he really really impressed me in the last round. Surely he is knocking on the door, should any if our first teamers be worried. The lad seems to read the game well and looks to be able to pick a pass, a couple against pool did not come off but to me that was down to the recieving player nit being wise to what was coming. Is he ready for a championship game?
  10. On the BBD saga. I find myself thinking there is already an under the table agreement with a team. BBD told to run out the contract and reap the rewards personally by saving his new club 15 mill or so.
  11. What about the younger of the Wharton brothers playing. I liked the look of him, give him another go. 4-0 to the Bantams, sirry, U just think things are going to get a lot worse befire it get's better. Henning Bergesque run coming up.
  12. Makes no sense though does it? If they have a budgrt you work within the budget no need to sign of in Pune every dollar of said budget. Least that's how I have worked with a budget. Maybe it took that long for V's to sign a cheque. On JPVH, maybe they have finally got wind of our feelings for the lad and are going to push the boat out a bit for him to quiet us down for a day or two. Would love him back. On a permanent, proper badge kisser this lad.
  13. Oh dear, we were really bad 1st half. Gave away too much of the pitch. I think JDT is now beginning to see the monumental task he has ahead if him. Funny thing, Phillips goes off they get the second.
  14. How so when the cream of the crop is pilfered by the big clubs.
  15. Do we actually KNOW that Van Hecke has a choice. Do our management team even have any interest. Has anyone heard that we are cos I have not just what the fans want. Is it not entirely possible Sunderland are the only ones interested.
  16. Oh no, he's just used the J word, JOURNEY, shit I thought Miwbary had gone.
  17. Well he has now been punched on the nose. Over to you JDT. Saturday is pivotal I think
  18. Inread something on here if a bust up, JDT and Hedges, true? Could that have affected the performance. Interesting comment the the players did not do what was talked about. Why? That needs sorted. Did not watch, listen or follow the game, got home from work and knew it was bad when I saw 32 pages in the match thread. Think I will pass on the match replay.
  19. This one concerns me, mostly due to the ex Rovers connections. Ince to beat us with a Junior fluke goal sounds about right.
  20. Just listened to JDT's interview on RoversTv on the upcoming Reading game. Just can't help but love this guy. What a breath of fresh air. You know I have seen Broughton take a few swipes regarding lack of incomings, however I think JDT will prove to be the most important signing he will make. Pulling this guy in from left field will prove to be a masterstroke, early signs would indicate. Of course we have to see how he does after the famous Souness "punch on the nose" and I am sure if things keep going this way other managers will place more emphasis on trying to best him. If he can keep mixing it up it will be hard for others to figure him out. Early early days and we have seen many times that teams starting out well can be bottom in a few weeks. Looking promising. Fear us if he does well and just misses promotion he will be stolen by a prem team. For that reason we need to go up this season or he will be Ten Haags replacement lol. Long may the GB/JDT revolution continue. It's fun and exciting again.
  21. Perhaps Markanday can explain to Philipswhy he left Spurs to come here for less money.
  22. That I did not account for, so yes that might have been it thiugh as the game wore on I thought the baggies looked a bit sharper, quicker bit fitter. Could have been nerves on my part.
  23. I thought overall we looked a bit leggy, not sure we can be playing this way every game unkess our fitness levels continue to get better. A better team than WBA may have ounished us, thing is there may not be many better teams than them in this division. So oroud to be a Rover right now. Sad thing is I can not go into work and brag about it today. Cis they ain't got a clue what I am on about.
