  1. Not sure how progressive is intended to be used in this context. Progressive how? On what point(s) are we arguing progrssion? As a football match two teams with different styles I thought it was entertaining enough. Good tempo fair amount of chances and some drama was reasonable enough to me I enjoyed it. Mowbray out.
  2. Yeah ok then, nowt to do with great saves and boro missing chances plus some resolute defending. Let's hang it all on that high boot, happens all the time one way or another something is missed or given.that MIGHT have changed a games outcome. We did not deserve to win really but to hang everything on what did not happenseems like trying too hard to put us down.
  3. How right you were. Some soft ones given for boro and muggings overlooked. I don't think it was a pen. Foot was high nent his head down, was one of ours in there too, gladnhe didn't catch him. What a win I expected a battering which on the balance of play and chances we got. Smash and grab for us for a change. Held on very well after the goal and probably edged it. Nice couple of Dack moments which will help his confidence that one pass was Buckleyesque. Elliot needs to put his hair do back, for the longest time I thought he was Dolan, even accused the commentator of being a dumbass for not knowing who was who. Fantastic 3 points. Young Bucko, well if there is anyone interested in stumping up millions for him,.snatch their hand off and try not to be seen sniggering before the papers are signed. He's not good enough. Loved the way Mowbray rewards the goalscorer and player who made it. Yank em. That'll teach em.
  4. Supposed to ne on ESPN+ but just keeps saying event about to start.
  5. Agree, McCarthy a better bet for success for us than Mowbray. Ask Ipswich fans how happy they are for hounding him out.
  6. I exoect us to be handsomely beaten. An Anti- Merc prediction of 4-1 to Boro.
  7. I'd question jim's use of half forgotten. 20MILL? Balaji probably drops more on Bling and his Indian Mr T look a like
  8. Covid sensitive grass?
  9. To me thisnis another stick to beat Mowbray with it really. He has been trying to set uo a side that plays out from the back. We have players, who are our better ones by the way (argue about ben if you wany), who can move with the ball at their feet, run at speed with the ball on the ground, control a ball and play a sweet pass. Players like Dack, Rothwell, Brereton, Dolan, Nyambe, Elliot and for slide rile passes Holtby, Downing and yes young Buckly. Now a pitch like that in my mind SERIOUSLY hampers their game, the very style of game.Mowbray has tried to instill. Mowbray should ne absolutely livid,.pulling hisnhair out seething mad on the phone to India. Has it been fixed? No just more evidence that Mowbray does not give a flying. More damagjng is it demonstrates to the players that nobody gives a toss about providing them with quality tools to perform their crafts with. Huge, Massive that. Apathy from top to bottom, an apathy that has now been rubbing off on us fans. Even me, I have loved this team since I was 6 yo. just the other week I turned off the game, at 62 it was a first for me.
  10. Single digit win? I disagree, we'll lose.
  11. They have not done so well previous
  12. Is there one? Again to be fair to Mowbray in he did say if we had got a second it would have been harsh on Stoke. I think that with comments like he's hardly.touting a hard luck story is he? I would like him replaced too but let's.keep it straight.eh.
  13. So if we don't? Would that be a good sign he's lost it?
  14. Have to agree with that. Though Big Club tripped up Boro. Probably backfire on us.
  15. Fair do's he admitted it would have been harsh on Stoke.
  16. It has been for a long time for some of us, a long time.
  17. Thing with Rothwell he seems to be playing a lot deeper lately, is this him or is it Mowbrays orders. He can't get the positioning to start those lovely runs cos he seems to be picking up the ball in our half rather than half way in theirs, why is that?
  18. Yawn, Rovers 0 Stoke 1 we have 70% possesion 19 shots and Stoke have 1. Dack has to play, fornone he is the only is one Armstrong ever passes to. Does not like to give it to Big Ben or gally but will dacky.
  19. Perhaps I am but I am not going iff stats just what I see. I like the kid, a lot of but watching he gets me all excited, on the edge of my seat but I end up feeling ket down, more often than not. Mowbray is not his friend. Bottom line is this, we got a young lad with speed, flair, quick feet and a go for goal mentality for free. Those attributes can not be coached into a player BUT with the wrong manager/coach can easily get lost, this is my worry. He needs to make it impossible for Mowbray to keave him out.
  20. Only way Nyambe is sticking around is if Mowbray doesn't
  21. Onenof my faviurite non Rovers players of that era. RIP Colin, thanks for the memories.
