All our problems came from this side, Dolan is great going forward and when we are doing a successful high press, what he isn’t good at is tracking back. In this type of game you don’t want your resistance to be Dolan and Pickering on one side. Jdt didn’t change this quick enough. The middle was disconnected too, smallbone especially was finding pockets all over it. Not a game for buckley, again pretty much same as dolan. Not everyone’s favourite but I’d rather have Morton In there for this type of game. Jrc Iv loved him recently but he had a shocker, I’d have hooked him for brittain much sooner. back to Dolan I’d have had bbd left for this one as he is actually very good at defending , part of his game he doesn’t get credit for.

Couldn’t watch it live as I was working but recorded it and watched it in the early hours, we can have no complaints about the result, if anything 3-2 flattered us. We weren’t at it at all last night, and it is my worry that we can’t seem to turn poor around. Some of those that I have been highly praising recently were woeful last night so they will again be on my radar for consistency. But it’s a game I didn’t like the look of it and so it turned out to be, if we get a good performance and win on Wednesday then all is forgiven for this one

Some players have really stepped up last few games, some that I didn’t think they had it in them jrc pears szmodics all undroppable currently when I thought all were for the exit door travis was a liability first half of the season but has been unbelievable the last two games Iv watched, maybe needed a kick up the arse gallagher will never be everyone’s cup of tea and can be hella frustrating but he can also be a right nuisance for oppositions centre backs, takes the knocks and does the unsexy stuff to let others play and for that I appreciate him dack and brereton aren’t in the team for me at the moment while the others mentioned continue to perform. Great impact subs hyam is a great signing I have been critical of Jdt so must give him credit where credit is due and we look like we have a plan these days and can be resolute when needed. They were both overall excellent last night but szmodics and Dolan really should have added to their tallies, some really poor shooting and that includes hedges too. There will be tighter games where we get 1 or 2 chances like that and they need to be more clinical. I’m nit picking because I’m delighted with that last night, maybe Jdt knew what he was searching for all along, I had my doubts

Can’t grumble with a point at Watford, I expected a defeat before the game so I’m happy off topic but special mention to jrc for his upturn in form, didn’t think he had it in him and was all prepared for him sliding down the leagues and to obscurity but the lad now has a future here

Performance to echo the fans enthusiasm for the club just now I feel. Pitch is rotten too, should be massively apologising to Kelly who had an excellent game until the pitch kicked him
