  1. Ha just noticed that I mentioned Ronny delia on here the other day who wasn’t on any betting table and he is now came in at 25/1 sorry anyone that thought I was tipping him , I was merely trying to suggest we were at the stage of going round the houses of everyone being given a shout out. wonder if my Garry monk suggestion will have the same effect
  2. I’m sure it’s a successful business, I just wish they had a better logo , it’s horrific on the shirts haha
  3. You will probably know more about these than me. I don’t have any names I just think the search may have to be expanded, a few of our initial targets haven’t been hooked. I know I said to watch out for Ferguson and unsworth but is it 1/3 close- I don’t believe so
  4. Probably make some of you wince but I don’t think Garry monk is the worst suggestion
  5. All getting a bit gurgled now, fact that bookies have us 1/3 for Ferguson and second best with farke show us that they haven’t a clue. my guess at this stage - a real unknown from Europe will come out of left field
  6. In the interests of fairness how so? I said he was identified as number 1 target, job was his if he wanted it but there was other interested parties and he had a week to decide what he was wanting to do. He wanted to bring in his own team that wasn’t what he felt was workable for him and he got a better offer elsewhere. A week to the day he was appointed elsewhere. Never said it was a done deal. Also was the first to say about Ferguson and was bang on about farke, I’d say that’s not bad info for you
  7. My info on farke was sadly correct and he was always holding out for a German gig
  8. BM= big mags the Ewood cleaner, currently 25/1 skybet for the hot seat
  9. If we are to go down the relatively inexperienced route- not that I particularly want to- but if we were, I’d go xabi alonso
  10. It’s not good , and shows not a lot has been learned from past mistakes
  11. At this stage, my money is on woodgate, they have totally ballsed up carvalhal, shambles. farke I said would be my number 1 right at the start however he was more interested in a job back in Germany as appears the case
  12. Do always laugh when folk challenge you to reveal sources , like they would even know who they are. For the record I have no reason to doubt Glen in what he posts albeit I may hear differently. Lucky to have him here imo
  13. Completely off topic but is anyone else getting really pissed at these aggressive pop ups on this forum, there is one for Ariel gave you literally can’t close , when you try and hit the x button it takes you to the site, really annoying
  14. Pretty much this yea, a verbal offer was put to him last Monday and he had a week to think if he was happy with what was offered, it appears not.
  15. I don’t get offended when people don’t believe what I say so don’t worry about it. All I will say is that he was identified as number 1, interviewed first as a result and there was no changing of minds by hierarchy . It was put to him what the budgets would be and what staffing changes he could make , and as a result if he accepted the budgets the job was his. The interviews that follows were standard as would happen with any job, and were to assess for the event carvahal didn’t accept which now looks likely sadly.
  16. Carvahal became number 1 target and was offered terms which by all accounts it doesn’t seem like he was too enamoured with and will now be taking a money job elsewhere. Still not totally dead but we would need to come back with a better offer which I don’t think we will. I said at the start to keep an eye out on Ferguson for the job, I don’t believe he is as much as a favourite as the bookies are suggesting but there has been talks between his people and ours. I also said that should he arrive here if hope it would be a double team with the more tactically astute unsworth. It’s still not one I would particularly want at this stage albeit I like Ferguson and he ain’t mowbray. critchley would be a great appointment for those of you suggesting him, I don’t see us paying a big compensation however. farke is the candidate they were waiting to talk to , if that happened I do not know but I would still be surprised if he ended up here as I believe he is looking elsewhere manning is another that has been suggested , there has been talks, again they aren’t too keen on compo for him albeit it’s a lot less than critchleys clause. those that suggested woodgate, not a million miles away…. certainly more in the running than his current odds, albeit he is behind a few. Not one that I want so hope we get off at the stop before his arrival. there has been other names spoken to that I don’t know, I fully believe carvahal was outlined as number 1, that looks to have failed and now going through the next best on the list. I’m still crossing my fingers for a carvahal breakthrough with what we can offer him
  17. He would be but after the slow death of mowbrays reign , the live hard and fast route is ok by me
  18. Fair enough, I stand corrected, was my belief that he had distanced himself from the role early on and wished a challenge away from the champ
  19. My understanding was the links were all agent work as job pointed out
  20. Record speaks for itself , broke a good few stories, unlike you assombalonga - which I gave you the benefit of the doubt for
  21. I feel this was always going to be the case with carvahal, his stock his high so if he doesn’t get us promoted his stock will sink so he would need reassurances in terms of finance backing. I would be happy enough with him, my number one would be farke but I believe he turned down his interview and will be working closer to home in his next role
  22. 4 interviewed on Monday, my understanding that ainsworth wasn’t one of them, but another league 1 manager was, one out of work champ manager and one looking to move into management from years of a coaching role
