  1. Heard we were talking to Leicester about a potential loan. No names unfortunately, if I were to guess matty James might be the one
  2. Fair enough, I can see your viewpoint. from mine at the end of last season I thought we needed x, y and z. And so far , we have made 2 real first team signings (Dolan was a complete bonus and not meant for first team), nowhere near enough for me to be happy. I think we are a few injuries- loss of form from being a losing streak at the wrong time. Some players such as Williams have came back from the dead and some fans seem to take him as a new signing. there is still time of course but currently, I don’t think we have done enough business
  3. Hughton has been manager at top levels a lot more than mowbray - does that satisfy your criteria enough?
  4. What your saying is we can’t compare managers at all because every club and scenario is different so steve evans might be as good a manager as klopp. Doesn’t wash with me. Managers who are successful prove they are better managers by said success. Mowbray had a great budget at Celtic and is wholly looked at with disgust by Celtic fans on his time there. He has yet to win me over as Blackburn manager and doubt he will
  5. Pretty much what I said in my post, I just don’t think currently folk will be swayed one way or another. There is the bowyer type camp that say he is doing brilliantly to work with the monsters that are venkys and keeping us mod table in the champ and there are those like bowyer detractors who say that with our squad we should be achieving more. I’m happy to praise him should he get us promoted or even close to, but his failings are amateurish to me at the moment.
  6. I’m against mowbray but I wouldn’t say I’m negative, I just don’t think he is good enough to take us to the next level. I don’t really see how you can argue that hughton has not got a better reputation. Mowbray has literally had one success and quite a few bombs, hughton has never had any nightmares and quite a bit of success
  7. There is those that won’t be swayed with regards to mowbray- good or bad, is my point
  8. There is definitely two types of fans we have here, those who are happy with how things are going and can see no wrong with mowbray and those who disagree and strive for better. I’m in the latter camp, I don’t quite understand folk saying we have had an incredible window. For me we have signed a keeper with potential to be a very good signing- but we need time to tell with that one. A young backup that none of us know anything about- potentially we never see him as a regular is the reality. A very good champ defender bit is he an upgrade on Tosin? I’d suggest probably not. A signing that has exceeded expectation in Dolan but again he will need to find consistency. But overall , are we stronger squad wise than last season? We have a glaring weakness at left back that not been addressed. We have two strikers that have yet to get going, armstrong goes down then we are done for. we have had a decent start but old annoyances have already been seen, losing opener when we were the stronger team, not being able to break down a Cardiff side that came to defend and a fairly poor result after gaining some momentum. Wycombe was pleasing but they are the whipping boys. Sadly because I like ainsworth. Derby again, well dispatched but played them at the right time. think a few have got ahead of themselves. Mowbray gets us consistent and steadily in top 6 il tip my hat
  9. Same, gutted he has went to forest , I really wanted him here for at least a season, mowbray seems unsackable at this point however, I’m trying to be a bit more positive with regards to Tony this season as constant annoyance of our manager is tiresome to myself. But yes given my choice he wouldn’t be our man at the wheel.
  10. I don’t remember they were or maybe they weren’t in it as long as we were, don’t remember them having a fire sale like us, they have spent a few Bob over the years too. Dual ownership and deals between those teams stinks to me, that’s proper championship manager stuff, swapping finances etc
  11. I see forest pulled off a deal for a player from olympiakos, I call foul play. But the fa only seem to punish certain clubs, us, sheff we’d and Wigan must not have the appeal of forest, derby or villa
  12. What’s the betting we see this guy in 1 or 2 games in 2 years before he returns to Greece never to be seen again
  13. Bonus points for first to answer our last Greek signing
  14. God id be embarrassed to be labelled golden boy 2017
  15. Nope said player sulks and doesn’t hit standards previously is my thoughts. See eduoard at Celtic for a recent example
  16. A left back would be interesting, a back up keeper. Meh
  17. A player who has his head turned and is made to stay at the club is not one I want to rely on anyway. Would rather get rid when possible and replace with somebody that wants to be here and play for the shirt.
  18. I assume your talking about Bobby reid and not Harrison reed
  19. I kinda miss the days transfers could be done at any time if I’m honest
  20. It’s really not an unbelievable scenario, we aren’t Accrington. Bet some folk said same about holtby
  21. Nah not heard anything, far too young to see his days out in the mls
  22. Unless you have a superpower to see the future you cannot say that. Deal until January and let him prove his fitness. Doesn’t work out then there is little lost, does work out we have an international class midfielder for free in the championship
