100% more effective up front, hasn’t been given a run of games in his favoured position. I’m not saying he is brilliant at it but he needs to be given a run there
-
None of the things u have said are particularly needed for an attacker tho which is basically what he is at the moment , put him in the middle where his passing can be utilised after he nicks the ball , fast wingers where he can play them in over the top . Buckley ain’t very good at scoring ya know

Going forward I’d like to see bbd deployed in buckleys role in the hole behind strikers in front of midfielders, he is good at running with the ball and can pick out a decent pass, I see him very much in the mould of Matt jansen. Play gallagher up top in front of him , I know he isn’t a world beater but it’s gallagher best position not out on the wing. He needs a run up top and a chance to claim that for his own , if he doesn’t produce from now into the end of the season then we know we need a striker in the summer - we probably do anyway

I’d agree if he was firing it into dangerous areas instead of the first man’s head -

As much as I agree brereton has improved, there is still some to go for me - my main issue is that he needs to get a lot stronger, easily pushed off the ball time and time again then goes down expecting fouls when it’s just he wasn’t strong enough. Good few times last night he was bullied. - he needs to watch offside a bit more, winner to be had with just a quick look along the line but I am wholly impressed with his improvement this season , even came back and sprayed some lovely balls about the field last night, night and day with the nervous looking player of old another point I saw you make is Giles is a good crosser. Is he? Iv been really disappointed in him so far , not seen the hype. Barry Douglas mark 2 -

Have gave credit where it’s due this season though, I’m also not going to change my mind that he isn’t a great manager and have been one of the biggest campaigners for wanting him gone for the past few seasons. Hardly petty when the same mistakes are on repeat -

Don’t agree at all , bog mediocre manager who has got results despite his limitations this year but when it gets to the business end he is found wanting again and again -

But mowbray is still so limited , we need a dynamic manager in so we dont feel like we are going to the gun fight with a knife in our pocket -

Yea mind boggling. I yearn for the days of a Steven reid thunderbolt - saw him in the forest dugout , an early years mgp or tugay masterclass . Hell even savage could put his foot through it when needed -

He had time to get in any position he wanted. Lad has obviously grown up with a ball so I find it strange that he doesn’t know simple finishing , anybody that’s played at any sort of level even weekly fives learns how to finish those sort of chances. He was dead centre as well so had the whole goal to aim at. It just looks lazy like he was trying to make it more stylish than it had to be. I’d have him dedicated finishing practise until he got the message. Our team in general aren’t good strikers of the ball , rothwell doesn’t hit a hard ball either, breretons shots can be weak, Dolan is powder puff too. I think Travis can hit it fairly well but last few years he seems reluctant to do it. Johnson is maybe the only one I can think of that can get a bit of oomph behind a shot but he is done physically. Telling at the free kick we got at the edge of their d, I couldn’t think of who was going to take it or have any confidence in anyone that did( rothwell did and wasted) -

I get that and agree but the lad is still a midfielder that needs to finish those chances, if he can’t do even basic finishes then his career is going to be the lower leagues. For one that’s meant to have accurate passing it was a simple moderate pace into the corner if he wasn’t confident of putting his foot through it. I’m fairly confident I could have finished it from that position, aim at the right post with a touch of bend -

I still can’t believe buckleys miss, I don’t know which was worse that one or Swansea. Like literally absolute sitters , been bigging the lad up to opposition fans all year but how can you defend those. Simply not good enough -
