Not exclusive to rovers fans but what a difference a result makes, last week was full of positives and signings were all looking great, this week we are relegation certs and signings are all write offs. My early assessment of the incoming players mccloughlin- steady, composed, very good pick up. Really liked batth but appears this was a good swap. alebiouso- like his athleticism and physicality. Another good bit of business. I miss brittain but at least we replaced the position well. Baradji- looks a YouTube talent, can’t comment till I see a few games for us. henrikkson- im worried about this one, he looks clumsy with an awkward running style and just not an athlete never mind a footballer. Not sure this one is going to work out. taveris- looks neat and tidy but tends to give silly fouls and questions on his fitness , burst at 60 mins. Think he will be ok but needs to get better fitness and a footballing brain. Birmingham loss was a lot on him for both of those reasons iv mentioned.

Signing maybe not but certainly a loan. We will lose Travis wages, maybe buckleys and pears too, plus we managed to get cantwell on decent wages last year, definitely potential to push the boat out for the right player

Have to completely agree , brittain was performing at a premier league level last year, I thought he deserved a better move tbh. New boy had a decent game but the 3rd goal he got lucky with a trampoline first touch and a poor cross, their keeper should have lapped it up. Also of note was he pssed cantwell off by running through into a good position and then ballooning a shot, and he was mia when hull should have scored to make it nervy, luckily their winger was just in the pitch a minute and his touch wasn’t there. So yes fairly decent but far from perfect. I’d take brittain myself

What I’d like to see travis - out pears- out buckley- out Leonard- loan go to Southampton and ask them what striker they would be willing to do a deal on, they have far too many. I’d happily take Armstrong, archer or Ross Stewart. They wouldn’t sell us downes and I don’t want Brereton back. if not Miovski at girona is available rw- I’m not wanting another European punt, two I’d target rak sakyi vlad cerny midfield- I’d ask about getting Alan Browne in loan from Sunderland, not going to get game time there and been told he can go. Ideal replacement for travis in games we need to dig deep. I see it’s been suggested we get another cb but I don’t see it as a position we are lacking at. hyam and McLaughlin are our starters carter, Wharton, miller and even Pickering can come in there should a mass injury crisis happen so I don’t see it as needed. if pears goes will probably need an experienced safe pair of hands in, certainly wouldn’t want our youngsters thrown in at the deep end should toth suffer an injury.
