I did but I also saw the poor technique of a shot where he toe poked it the wrong way and the numerous times he has got free and instead of going direct he has looked scared and headed to the corner flag, needs to make better choices. Ryan hedges has scored one and a half today and I don’t rate him as a winger either! -

Kargbo has to go direct when he is free, made it easy for the defence -

Ndala looks like one we should have looked at. how has their young cb not been booked yet?! Keep putting pressure on him, surely another and it’s a booking, already looks nervous -

Think you have to question why Birmingham get both their goals from experienced wide men running at defenders and either getting into the penalty area and causing panic - one wins a pen and one slides a cross across for a tap in winner. Our wide men - de neve, kargbo look nothing like causing such opportunities and chances. It’s simply lack of talent and experience in recruitment and it’s going to bite us in the ass like so many predicted. So toothless in attack , I really don’t see what our game plan is going to be. Try and nick a goal from 0. Something xg and then hold on for 30+ minutes. Always going to lose more than we win -

Certainly hard to see what anyone saw in him other than pace but surely that’s not all you need to be a worthy target. Looks like a million amateur football players up and down the uk. Whoever is our scout for attacking players needs got rid of, clearly not doing basic research -

De naive I think he needs to be renamed. Don’t let the player get past you, if it takes a foul then do it. think gestede is going to have to be looked at hard come the end of the window, he hasn’t delivered on his promises at all, players don’t look good enough. We are sinking further yet again it feels like, it’s really really hard to be a fan just now -

How come we all know this was going to happen as we ticked down to the 90th minute, it’s a Blackburn rovers thing. We never get late winners, always losses. somebody surely has to take a professional foul to stop them breaking on us when we are caught on the break. That’s lost points on not having champ experience, even forshaw would have stopped that I reckon. if travis is going, are we replacing him or is it still just a rw to come in? We need a good few and a few of these new recruits don’t look up to it. We are already up against it -

Amazing that we don’t look to be using the loan market this year, I’m not a great fan of doing so as I’d rather be using our own players but it’s one that we have relied on heavily for years. Definitely a change of tact but I’m just not sure the lower league gambles is sensible right now. We definitely need some experience and goals/ goal threats added. This is as unenjoyable as I predicted when I said that for the first time I just wasn’t looking forward to the season starting as it just looked like trouble from the off -

There is alarm bells all over our start , which most of us foresaw , I’m not that concerned about the result it’s more than we aren’t creating anything, this team has so little goals in it. Few big signings needed or it’s going to be a tough season -

Just on recruitment after yesterday, our best “new” player was McLaughlin, who CB should come as no surprise as he has champ experience, I definitely think we should have been after a few more of this type. Josh windass for example, we have gambled with this new lads from inferior leagues taking the step up. None of them came out with any credit yesterday if we are honest. Worrying. Does anyone know if gestede is signing on analytics or is it just a throw of a dart on who is landing on his desk -

Warning signs already in that we look like we desperately need some attacking threat. i can’t believe we still have hedges, he is honestly awful. And we need a striker that is a focal point to work around, we just looked lost with no ideas up front. Kept the ball well enough but didn’t do enough with it. always going to be a hard game but disappointing to lose the first and shows we still need big improvement in certain areas -

As a Scot I feel I’m better equipped than most to comment on miller and yea it’s a decent enough signing, big strong lad that will show plenty of blood and guts. He isn’t Callum brittain in that he won’t give us goals and assists but he will make us stronger defensively. I get the trepidation with coming from Scotland but I was against the hedges signing but I’m ok with this one. More Lucas Neil than Brett Emerton but I think we needed toughening up a bit
