Aitor Karanka will fit the bill in terms of style of play and our current squad ability. Whilst his philosophy is close to Eustace’s with a defensive first approach, it’s not an appointment to get excited about.

Is a decent finisher, but has hardly played. Wasn’t really worth the pre-signing excitement or hype. It’s a shame, but I wish him the best for the rest of his career.

I can’t see the logic behind appointing Boateng as manager. He’s 49 and only managed a Malaysian team for the 2014-2015 season. It would certainly raise eyebrows and put Waggott & Pasha back in the spotlight. I’m hoping it’s just agent talk.
