This team has been crying out for experience, happy with the signings as squad players for the season. Hopefully we can add some more quality to the squad towards the end of the window.

Happy that Garrett is getting a loan to Bristol Rovers. It’s a decent level for him to play regular football and a good club to play for 👍🏻

It’s not the fastest back-line in the league, that’s for sure. I don’t think we’ll be playing a high line this season, one ball over the top and we’re done for.

Eustace will have to mix and match the centre back for certain teams we play. I would be more confident with McFadzean and Batth at the back against a direct team, compared to Hyam and Carter.

This will be similar to the McFadzean deal, I’m sure of it. Agreed a deal more than a month ago and is only just going through. I bet Waggott went back on the deal and offered reduced terms. McFadzean is closer to the end of his career and turned down other clubs for Rovers. McFadzean doesn’t really have any other options so will have agreed a reduced deal IMO.

Just a guess, but if they did want Gueye they would need to shift a few of their foreign signings. They have 7 forwards from outside the UK, so at least four of them will make up the allotted ESC spots. Gally is classed as home-grown so wouldn’t need to pass any ESC checks. Gueye would fit into the ESC category, so Rovers can bring him in with a spot left over for Yuki?

£1.5m is good business for Gallagher coming towards the end of his contract. Rumours he’s on £15k a week and I don’t feel his performances have justified being our highest earner.

Zaragoza fans have been pretty ruthless about Gueye on X. 23 games, 0 goals for Zaragoza. Signed for RWD Molenbeek the following season and scored 11 goals in 35 games. 6’5 so he’s a target man and will probably negate the Gally outgoing.
