There was a game last season where he just took shot after shot , not passing to anyone better positioned. I personally didn't like him after that , despite the goals.
Travis recent comments, touch on the now improved team spirit.
Bristol away springs to mind.
This team operates as much better unit with Armstrong.

Hull have also confirmed they have postive cases in the playing squad tho it doesn’t seem to be anything to serious.

Hull manager has tested positive for Covid. Fingers crossed it isn’t an outspread issue for them.

Great to see dack and JRC involved. Hoping we see JRC in the Wigan game in the wingback role

Maja is class, though not in the BB bracket imo.
The one thing that worries me is I can’t see BB and Maja working as a pair, I really feel we need the pace of Khadra. He would certainly be a very good long term replacement for BB.

LT reporting that both Van Hecke and Khadra increasingly likely to be recalled next month. Losing those two would be a HUGE kick in the ballcocks!
To be fair they haven’t really. They’ve just repeated that potter has discussed the potential of recalling loanees to deal with covid. Though I agree it’s a massive concern.
Personally I think we’ll be safe with Khadra and Van Hecke - they are playing weekly in a team pushing for promotion and they both clearly really enjoy it here. As far as I am aware they have a string of players out on loan and I imagine there’ll be a number of players they would rather recall. Both Khadra and Van Hecke are getting invaluable experience and doing wonders to their resell value.

Surprised at the reluctance regarding Maja. Really talented player who has abit of everything, at only 22 he has some real resale value aswell.

While there’s no doubt that the championship is as poor a standard this season as we have seen for years, I am of the firm belief it has become a lot more competitive in the last month or so.
Despite their poor runs of forms West Brom, Fulham and Bournemouth all have squads which the rest of us can’t compete with, and eventually will all hit a green patch where we will see there quality.
Then you have the emergence of Forest, Boro and Sheffield who have all done well with managerial appointments and clearly have the squads, aswell as finances for January, to break into the top 6. Along with QPR and Stoke who have been consistently up there all season there is now quite serious competition for the playoffs spots, whereas before they have kind of been up for grabs - hence we’ve seen Coventry and Blackpool occupy at times.
Where we come into that is the big question. I think if we can keep hold of our squad in January then we have a chance of top 2. However we need to stay clear of injuries or TM death spirals of we could very well end up midtable come end of the season.

I was at the Fulham Sheffield game tonight. Sheffield didn’t offer anything offensively but put in the best defensive performance I’ve seen for a long time. There definitely a team to watch although I do feel heckingbottom will stumble at some point.

I honestly thought the days of Rovers absolutely battering teams had gone .....
An excellent performance again ...
Tbf over the last 18 months weve tended to batter teams by 4-5goals margins fairly regularly. I agree tho, before then we never won games by impressive margins.

If Bournemouth and Fulham carry on their poor form they are they are going to drop into the play off spots. I think QPR and WBA are the ones that will compete for the top two spots.
Fulham are 100% going up as number 1.
2nd is up for grabs.

Dolan and Edun the ones missing based of the clubs video

2 rovers players out for tomorrow.
This is coming at an awful time for us - really gonna impact our momentum.

Two rovers players out of the game for Saturday due to covid

Personally I’d love to see us look at Siriki Dembele from Peterborough. Very talented player who is out of contract in the summer.

Right.
Terminate clarkson and Poveda’s loans.
Sign Balogun/Maja on loan.
Sign an actual right wing back - Esteves.
Loan out Butterworth, Stergikias and Magloire.
Leaving us with:
GK: Kaminski, Pears, Eastham
Rb/RWB: Nymbe, JRC, Esteves
CB: lenihan, Wharton, van hecke, Ayala, Carter, Johnson
LWB: JRC, Edun, Pickering
cm: Travis, Rothwell, Buckley, dack, davenport, Johnson, edun
Winger/striker (the two up top): Gally, Diaz, Dolan, Khadra, balogun/maja
simple!

Hey guys - I’m London based and going to the game tomorrow. I ordered tickets on Wednesday and was told they would come Thursday/Friday however they haven’t arrived. Will have to leave at like 11 tomorrow.
Anyone else had this issue before? I assume it’s best to call ticket office first thing tomorrow?

This game will either be a reality check or a statement of intent. A loss doesn’t really say anything about our playoff chances, while a draw would probably show we’re meant to be where we are. A win puts us in the equation for the top 2.
While our recent form has propelled us to 4th it’s important to realise that a draw and couple of losses would see us drop out of the play offs. At this stage there is no point getting carried away, especially with TMs streaky nature.
Having said that, aside from Fulham and Bournemouth, who I feel we are playing at a good time with no win in 4/5, there is no one to fear in this league. Our lack of squad depth is no longer looking so troublesome with ayala, gally, dolan, davenport, Johnson, dolan and Edun all doing well this season and looking to break back in. That’s not to mention the return of JRC (a superior wingback to nymabe) and on his day our best player in Dack.
In terms of Saturday I don’t feel there’s much pressure on us. We don’t have much to lose being away to Bournemouth but we have it all to gain. My head says draw but my heart fancies a 2-1 win with a nail biting finish.

Big eyes on the fulham v Bournemouth game tonight. A Fulham win followed by the beating of Preston could really put us in the top 2 mix

Ayala, Rothwell both fit. The fact that Kaminski has a confirmed chance of playing on Saturday is a very good sign.

Kaminski would be a huge loss…fingers crossed.id play Ayala if he’s fit. His experience will be really valuable against this lot.
I really hope we can beat these and get a point from Bournemouth. Start of another pivotal week for this group. Beat Preston, avoid injuries and we roll into the Bournemouth game full of confidence! The opposite is not worth thinking of!
Like that team but no Khadra? I understand the sentiment of playing Dolan in this fixture but I find it hard to drop Khadra right now.

That’s an absolute joke. Hull clearly waiting as long as possible to reel in as many sales as possible before calling it. Doubt there’ll be refunds - just replacement ticket.
