According to Sharpe the interest in Ahmedhodzic is genuine with a loan to buy looking most likely. He has 2 years left on his deal.
IMO this would be an incredible start to our summer business and would leave me very comfortable with our CB options for next season with Ahmedhodzic, Wharton, Carter, Ayala and Phillips fighting for 2 starting positions.

Darragh out, Van Hecke in on a permanent!
As a starter for 10, that would do me!
Nothing would make me more happy

Sell Dolan and buy Khadra.
I think 16m is a fair price for Brereton, at this stage of proceedings.Would love Khadra back

Cantwell would be a top signing - potentially the best player in the championship. However there are big questions over his attitude meaning there is a certain amount of risk.
Personally would rather us go for Twine who is available for 3m. Also not snapping up Darling for 1.5m is a massive shame - he’ll be a big success at Swansea

Come on let’s not forget what a player Dack is. People writing him off at this point are just wrong - let’s give me a full pre season to get back to where he was and then, if he can’t, we can judge it.

tbh I’m pretty content with Carter and Wharton being first choice next season.
Carter may make a few mistakes at first but no doubt he is ready. + Ayala IF fit is arguably the best natural defender in the league.

If Farke was to come in people would have to accept that we wouldn’t see the results in his first season. He need a year and 3 transfer Windows to get the squad playing the way he likes - the way that got Norwich promoted twice

Speaking of odds, have QPR appointed someone? Looks like the market has been withdrawn?

Kai Naismith to Bristol City on a free is something we should of been all over…
One of Luton’s best players last season and would of been cheap wages wise.

surely they can’t mess it up from here…

Would be a really smart signing.

I believe so although a word of caution we need to sell the club to him and the vision as much as he does to the club if that makes sense
To be expected to be honest - I imagine we will fail. Appreciate the info

Carlos Carvalhal has emerged as one of the front-runners for the manager’s job at Blackburn Rovers and they can land the Braga boss without having to pay any compensations. It would be a real coup to land the Portuguese tactician. #Rovers #Braga
This would be an unbelievable appointment. A manager who is creative, innovative and modern in his style and tactics and has the ability to build a team that championship managers can’t work out.
Did a very decent job at Sheffield Wednesday with a playoff final and semi final, you only have to look at the managers who have struggled since. His time at Swansea was also pretty - I believe he kept them up in his first season.
His time in Portugal is really interesting with locals believe he has revolutionised the football over there.
An appointment who would be on the level of Farke.

Sharpe has mentioned on Twitter that he has heard that Farke is Venkys first choice thought doesn’t seem to have much certainty on it

Edun plays like a headless chicken. Poor passing, aimless dribbling and reckless challenges.
There is 100% a player in there tho. Hard to judge anyone when they haven’t had a consistent run of games in there natural position.

Two to three seasons and we might be there, some high expectations there…
Whoever comes in will need at least one season to rebuild, implement his style and bring in players that he feels he needs. Us as fans have to be prepared to give him that.

Get Liam Manning and bring Scott Twine with him.
Whatever happens we should be going all out for Twine. Should of been something we got done in January.

Carlos carvahal would be my top pick out of that list followed by Ainsworth. A very very depressing list though and the fact that Farke or jokanivic don’t even get on it says alot

Right time to go no doubt about it. Perhaps a year or two late if anything.
However, whatever you’re opinion, he deserves a decent send off. He’s given this club a lot and that promotion season from league 1, while expected, is probably as good as we’ve had it in 12 or so years.
The worrying thing is that there doesn’t seem to be a plan in place in terms or whose next aswell as recruitment - no wonder players aren’t signing new contracts. Hoping for Jokanavic, Farke or Carvolhal.

Well it’s looks like we’ve given ourselves a chance! There’s a very realistic chance that if we win our last 2 games then we’ll end the season in the playoffs. Boro would have to win all 3 of there games and like us there form has been dwindling for a while. Sheffield United on the other hand haven’t been firing like they were and have two very tough fixtures with QPR and Fulham.
The big question is can we beat Bournemouth - what a game that will be on Saturday.
-
This summer is a rebuild no doubt about it - however I think the strength of our academy puts us in decent shape for it. Basing us off a classic 4231 position as with what we have next season I feel it would work best.
Kaminski
NEW - Carter - Wharton - Pickering
Travis - Buckley
Markandy - Dack - Diaz
Gally
First and foremost I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion that Diaz stays. We probably value him at the 20million mark, though his lack of playing time and goals in the 2nd half of the season may put teams off. It wouldn’t surprise me if no team gets close to our valuation. The ideal scenario for me would be getting van Hecke and Khadra in a swap deal for him.
There is no doubt that we need a new RB to replace Nyambe - and personally Zeefuik hasn’t proven himself to fork out a couple of million on him. I wouldn’t be opposed to another loan for him but I would personally go for Drameh from leeds (currently on loan at Cardiff).
If van Hecke doesn’t return then and Lenihan leaves we will need at least 2 CBs. One who is first team quality and one who can provide decent back up. Kipre or Ajayi from westbrom (who have been out of favour this season) could be decent shouts.
Left back we are covered.
2 CMs are needed - one to provide back up to Travis, and one to push Buckley for that position next to him.
The 3 positions behind the strikes looks alright to me - Diaz (?)Hedges, Dack, Markandy, Dolan and potentially Khadra, who I feel we will be able to get back either on loan or perm. If Diaz goes we will need to bring someone in tho even then I like the look of Markandy, Dack, Khadra behind a striker.
The striker position will be key. I really feel Gally upfront can make a name for himself next season. Don’t judge him on his performances under this manager. Back up is needed tho and I again would look at leeds and see if we could bring in Tyler Roberts - could also grow into our first choice.
So in short we need at least 6
GK: Kaminski, Pears, Sterg.
RB: New, JRC.
CB: Ayala, Wharton, Carter, New, New, Phillips.
LB: Pickering, Edun.
CDM/CM: Travis, Buckley, Edun New, New, Garret.
Attackers: Markandy, Dolan, Dack, Hedges, Diaz (?), Khadra (?) New (?)
Striker: Gally, New
Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
