  1. Think JDT somehow needs to find a place for Brittain, JRC and Hill, as all three need to be in the starting line up for me Factor in Tronstadt looking like he's now up to the pace of the championship, Travis and Wharton competing for the midfield and it's going to be a nice headache for the manager
  2. Anybody lumping on Sammi to score 20 league goals? Probably not 1000/1 like BBD was but still healthy odds I dare say. Also the reason why not bringing in another goalscorer may not be as important as first thought. The goals will really be spread around this season
  3. Views on the transfer window earlier this week.. Yep, crap window, down to the owners. Specifically wanted an experienced centre back, wasn't allowed by the owners. Kid on loan warming the bench. Badly needed a striker, got 2 but amidst the restrictions so such a limited field. One a freebie from Plymouth who looks good but is no use constantly injured. One a desperate deadline day punt from the German 4th division who is clearly not up to it but such were the restrictions... Needed width, blocked by the owners. Sigurdsson was poor yesterday but its his third game in a week after a bad injury, overall a promising signing. Moran looks a good player, although the owners unwillingness to allow us a right winger means he may be needed out of position. Pressure on Wahlstedt now to step up as our main signing, and the likes of Tronstad and Hill need to prove they aren't just making up the numbers. Terrible window. We needlessly spunked most of our budget on a reserve goalie; Ennis is a crock; Tronstad looks way off so far; the German is a million miles off However, Sigurrson looks promising, Moran is learning on the job with us and looks a prospect for Brighton; jury out on Hill who looked decent against Cardiff. Views on transfer window after yesterday ... Hard to argue that our summer business wasn't positive based on today's performance - and the players who contributed most Fair’s fair. Based on today they all looked pretty good who got on. I’m trying to be positive today and not worry too much how bad QPR were in all this. Siggy could be a Berkovic / Bellamy-like one season wonder What a difference a win makes !!
  4. Nice break now. Get Wharton, Leonard and Ennis up to speed and we'll be looking stronger. Just hope for no injuries for those on international duty 🤞🤞
  5. Siggy stardust 🤩🤩 Need some lyrics to go with the Bowie classic
  6. So, just for clarity, what is the main weakness in the team at the moment, attack or defence ?
  7. You don't think we're scoring enough goals atm then? The problem is at the other end at the moment
  8. 2nd half Buckley moved to left hand side now. Not been as involved Edit Now subbed with 20 mins to go, seems to be a regular thing with him at Wednesday
  9. Horror show from Wednesday but fair play to Buckley , he's putting more effort in tonight than his last games. Playing right hand side of a front three he's been ok
  10. This is going to get nasty pretty soon. Not sure Buckley is someone you want in the trenches with you in situations like this either
  11. Off topic, but Sheffield Wednesday chairman just released this fairly explosive statement about club ownership. We may not be a million miles from something similar, but I hope not. 🙏🙏 Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has released an explosive statement this morning. He's said: "We all love Sheffield Wednesday and I am a supporter as well as the owner who must love and care for the club more than anyone else because of the position I am in as chairman. I must take responsibility for everything at the club, including the financial support which is something I always do. But from now, I will not put additional money into the club. "If you say you are the owner and I am the custodian, then show me how to be the good owner and help save your club. You want me to leave but you want me to spend money? If you want me to leave, then show me how to run the club and invest the money before I do that. "You have no right to ask me to leave. I am the one who saved the club and spent the money for the club, I am the one who needs to pay around £2million on average every month. Some fans need to have more respect for owners of clubs and not be so selfish, thinking of their own benefit without doing anything good to the club. "This is not acceptable and as a result I am not willing to inject more money while I am being treated unfairly by those fans." The Owls have a must-win game against Sunderland this evening. 😬 #CCP | #SWFC
  12. Kieron Maguire on Rovers finances https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1198705954?-11198:839
  13. I'm still waiting for a goal we've conceded that the keeper wasn't blamed for. Just seems to be a vendetta against them for some reason. To say it trickled in is ridiculous
  14. Latest Rovers accounts, another £20m loss due to no player sales. Wages to revenue down but still high https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1198225169?-11198:839
  15. Having defended Pears at times for some of the goals we've shipped this season, the time is right for a change as I feel as a whole the defence has lost a bit of faith in him and contributed to the goals we've let in. By the way, as much as I loved TK, you've obviously not watched some of the goals Luton have conceded this season
  16. Beginning to agree on that. Getting overrun in there atm. Also time for the Pears situation to come to a head. I don't know if the defence are losing confidence in him but Wahlstedt now has to be given his chance. It's crazy, because I really believe we have a squad capable of challenging if we can get the balance right in the team
  17. Or maybe he doesn't believe Pears has been as culpable as others for those goals. Certainly don't think it's down to ruthlessness! Also hope Sigurdsson is given time to get up to speed and not slaughtered on here after 10 mins
  18. Obviously as frustrated as we are atm. I thought last night was a time to maybe give him a rest as he didn't look 100% after the injury at the weekend.
  19. With stats like that , surely it can't be long before the chances start being converted. Be a lot more worrying if we weren't creating anything. That first 35-40 mins was the best I have seen us play in many a year.
