  1. Should have moved for him when he was available after leaving City
  2. And yet, we are going to have to wrap him in cotton wool for the busy schedule ahead. Lose him to injury again and we are in the mire. Same for Brittain, Sammie, JRC, Tronstad, Hyam , going to have to be managed carefully the next few weeks
  3. Maybe a zoom meeting more likely ?
  4. Seems to remember Broughton saying whoever replaced JDT would have the same footballing principles. After 1 game it looks like that has gone out of the window already
  5. Surely Suhail would be keeping Venkys in touch with everything going on, including the atmosphere around the club at present. Isn't that his job ? It should be
  6. Agree, have to say that I wasn't his biggest fan, but since he has come back from his injury, and he seems in a better place after his mental health issues, he has been fantastic. Well deserved a new contract now
  7. Get in ! Brilliant 3 points, onwards and upwards! Big shout out to Pears, had so much stick, but that penalty save could be huge. Who knows how the game would have panned out if that had gone in
  8. Looks like it. Good to have another couple of bodies back as well
  9. Looks like we've found our set piece coach in Eustace's No 2. One less task for Ben Benson !
  10. I'd be willing to bet that Rovers delegation never make that flight across the Atlantic now. New manager, possibly new targets
  11. Good luck trying to get him to sign that pre contract you bunch of fucking amateurs
  12. Few tweets from Nixon here, seems to think Eustace not cut and dried ....and may not be the best option according to him
  13. Jim White on Talksport now talking about Rovers
  14. Emotional pull ? Local lad ? Who knows but if you don't ask....
  15. How about Broughton as CEO in place of maggot ? Bring in Jason Wilcox from Southampton as DOF ( should have approached him last time) I know there's no chance but you can only try
  16. For sure, it will be someone out of work, they won't pay compensation to anyone. John Eustace a decent shout for me.
  17. Done a more than decent job at Shelbourne last couple of seasons. Think they won a cup last season beating big rivals St Patrick's. Not sure he's ready for this circus though, don't want his reputation with the fans ruined.
  18. As much as I have sympathy for JDT in the way he's been hung out to dry by the idiots above him, I think a parting of the ways is the only solution now. Just as long as the manager is not the only person losing their jobs over the running of the club. And we know who we are talking about.
  19. We all know (at least the majority do) that the owners are a bunch of twats However it's hardly their fault that all the paperwork was completed by around 10,pm but "due to an administrative error" it wasn't forwarded by the 11 pm deadline. Just wtf is going on there ? GB told us after the last embarrassment that procedures were now in place to avoid anything like that happening again ! Just fuck the lot of them
  20. So the promise that any money generated from sales would be reinvested into arrivals has proved to be false. I was naive enough to believe this, but no more. This is worse than under Kean and I never thought I would say that. I won't be there on Saturday and doubt I'll be back again this deason
  21. Unfortunately I fear the man least culpable for this charade is likely to be the first out of the door. As much as I've admired JDT and his style of football, it's now looking pretty obvious that his general demeanor and disillusionment with the current situation is having a detrimental effect on the players on the pitch. The uncertainty around his future can't be helping, it needs to be resolved one way or another. If he does go I hope he is swiftly followed by the real culprits in this farce that is Blackburn Rovers at present.
  22. If the egg is still here after this latest fiasco, he presumably would be the man who will decide who takes over from JDT if he walks. If that's the case, it won't be the likes of a Warnock or Ainsworth or Jones. He's on record as saying it would be someone with similar principles to J DT as all the current sides from the 21's to u9's all play the same way. Who that would leave I've no idea. The guy Will Still was linked with Sunderland earlier in the season and he seems to have done a good job in Ligue 1
