  2. Elliott Jackson replacing Rich Sharpe as new Rovers reporter.
  3. If ever proof were needed that a week is a long time in football, I think Rovers have just confirmed the fact. From the euphoria of an excellent dogged display against Watford and THAT Hedges goal , coupled with our largest ever away win in the cup, to a disappointing result (though not display by all accounts) and THAT Hedges miss yesterday. Along with a transfer window that may take a little while yet to determine it's success or otherwise, I think the jury is still out. It's a long old season and the fact the Nobbers are top at the moment , along with some strange results yesterday, show there is nothing to really fear in this league
  4. Exactly. I know emotions run high during and just after a game, and rightly so. But let's get a grip, a two week break now, hopefully seeing some behind closed doors games to get the likes of the new lad up front, Sigurdsson and Ennis up to speed and JRC back Things aren't as bad as they seem right now after that.
  5. Cullen scores for Swansea today. Also watching the Sunderland game. Southampton defensively (as with all Martins teams) really poor. Dack I'm afraid looks finished. Done nothing of note apart from giving away a stonewall penalty which the ref missed. Edit Then he scores !
  6. Don't care who the opposition is, that is some performance from Rovers. Thoroughly professional πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
  7. This is exactly what we need - goals being spread around the team. 5 different scorers tonightπŸ‘
  8. Seemed to slip and pull his groin after that? Hopefully he'll be ok
  9. Just a word on Moran as well. Looked good, far better imo than Dolan in that position.
  10. Nothing left out on the pitch there from us, great performance, especially at the back. Hyam and Carter immense and Pears (again) justifying his place ATM πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹
  11. Personally, I'd blame Pears for that poor performance from England today
  12. Sorry, but if people can't see who the real culprits were for their goals, then I give up. Two straight balls down the centre, not read by the cb:s, were far more culpable than Pears.
  13. Some interesting decisions to be made re next week's team selection against Hull. Does JDT stick with JRC in midfield and bring Brittain in at right back ? Ennis is looking sharper every game and looks like a good aquisition - is he fit enough to start now ? Who plays in the wide attacker positions? I agree Dolan is not the answer and if an offer came in for him I would move him on. Sigurdsson will be nailed on for one of the wide areas eventually, which leaves Hedges to me as the best option at the moment for the other slot.
  14. 2nd yellow was for flashing an imaginary card at the ref to get one of our lads booked, so the ref booked him instead. Looks like they're clamping down on that (not before time) , as a Newcastle player just got booked for same thing
  15. Just don't go gung-ho. Too many times we've thrown games away when in charge
  16. RIP John, one of the old school My memory sometimes plays tricks but wasn't it John that missed a penalty that has gone down in folklore ? Took about a 30 yard run at the ball and blasted it wide ? πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
