Totally agree that an upgrade on Pears would be fantastic but unless someone can come up with a name within our budget that improves the GK position then we are stuck with him (unless he moves on) Toth hasn't impressed in the couple of games he's played although maybe he needs more game time in this league. Keepers just don't command the box like they used too, the standard is as low as it's ever been. The two best keepers in the Premier League, Ederson and Aliisson both guilty yesterday of conceding poor goals. Maybe Michalski will eventually come through, don't know, can't say I've ever seen him in the flesh. Maybe someone who goes to u21 games can give an opinion. If it's true that Adam Owen is having a say in the appointment of the new manager, then this recent link to Frederiksen makes a lot of sense. Frederiksen appointed Lech Poznan manager in May 2024 , a time when Owen was technical advisor at the club and no doubt had a say in his appointment. He then left a month or two later to join us. He obviously knows him and rates him
