  1. Realize this won't be the team tomorrow, but maybe going forward , and getting both Yuki and Gueye into the same side , means a change of formation to ,3-5-2 (or 3-4-1-2 if you like. Something like this Pears/Toth Carter. Batth. Hyam Brittain/ACD Tronstad. Travis. Beck Cantwell Yuki. Gueye Dolan and Hedges also could cover either wide position It's the only way I see both strikers playing together?
  2. I suppose the there are two main questions about tomorrow's team. 1) Who plays LB if Pickering isn't fit enough to play. Presume he would stick with Hedges or maybe Brittain if has recovered. 2) Does Cantwell start. ? My feeling is he will be on the bench again

  4. Harvey Higgins, looks like the secret is out https://www.facebook.com/share/r/Z1RN4sfW5Y3qHJSJ/
  5. Really is a wide open league this season, don't see anybody running away with it like Burnley did a couple of seasons ago, they are not the team they were by a long shot. Also thought Dembele for them was completely anonymous, hardly touched the ball before being hooked due to the sending off.
  6. Handled the man advantage much better than last week. Cantwell will be something to watch when he is fully up to speed Have to say Trav was my man of the match today, absolutely gave everything today, he is transformed under JE. Tronstad as ever, just plugging holes wherever they appear. Dolan also great today COYB 💙🤍
  7. Emphatic result as you would expect with the team selected. ACD must have played himself into contention for a start on Saturday, whilst Cantwell kept it simple, one great shot apart from the edge of the box that hit the post that Duberry converted. Toth not surprisingly had nothing to do so impossible to judge him today although he looked comfortable enough on the ball. With Atcheson and Litherland the future of the central defence looks really bright for years as long as we can hang onto them
  8. Brittain, Pickering, Sigurdsson, Weimann and Gueye all available for game on Sunday. Fully fit squad apart from Scott Wharton A few tough decisions to make for JE
  9. Agree he doesn't look the quickest, and is still learning about the game over here. What he does have is an eye for goal and for £150,000 can't imagine we could have bought better. Already a cult hero
  10. With no further injuries on Saturday (hopefully), and the likes of Brittain, Pickering, Siggy likely to be back along with Gueye, it's going to give Eustace one very welcome headache for PNE. I doubt our bench has been this strong in many a season
  11. Great TEAM performance today, can't fault one person on their display today. Wonder if Liverpool would take a cheeky bid for Beck in January? Also special word for Pears, looked like a No 1 today
  12. Match is on YouTube for anybody wanting to watch
  13. Gestede has been praised and rightly so for what looks like a good transfer window in difficult circumstances. I was referring to the initial speculation surrounding his appointment when he was slated on here by some who felt he was too inexperienced and had done nothing to deserve the job, but mainly that he should be nowhere near the job because he refused to turn out for us once in his playing days due to transfer speculation. Surely you remember that ? The Pears narrative you say is in my head, you again are right, it's in my head because I saw it on here. I personally would not have connected Mowbray and Pears' relationship without reading it on the forum. For the record once again I agree that he isn't up to scratch
  14. Sorry, can't agree . I believe there was an agenda against Pears as soon as he signed, just like some had an agenda against Gestede and didn't want him near the club, or Benson , who people criticize without knowing anything about him or his abilities
  15. Rigger, what matters is not whether you would pay £200,000 for Pears, but what another club would be willing to pay. And I can guarantee Rovers would be looking for more than that if he were to be sold
  16. Not if we get back more than we paid for him
  17. When I say not given a chance, I'm not talking about managers who certainly have given him a chance. I'm talking more about some on here who had an agenda against him from the start, believing it was an old pals act signing between Mowbray and his old mucker goalkeeper. Agree that he isn't good enough for no 1, but considering we bought him for around £200,00 ( I think), if we were to sell him we would certainly make a profit.
  18. I'm no Pears apologist but the fact that some people are actually partly laying the blame at his door for the Burnley goal says it all really. The guy hasn't got a chance and hasn't since he arrived
  19. More from Gestede on the transfer window and planning for future windows https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1242809816?-11198:839
  20. I also don't see him being dropped just yet. Thankfully there were no bloopers against the Dingles so I think JE will stick with him
