  1. A lot of people on this board get frustrated when we lose- I know I do. But It’s unfair to say those fans, “want Rovers to lose.” Also, we can disagree on Mowbray staying or getting sacked, and still be fans of the club. But no matter what side of Mowbray you’re on, nobody can say the man doesn’t care if he loses. I had to say that. Having said it, the point won today was one of the hardest earned and most deserved point won of the season. Very proud of the manager, staff, and players.
  2. we have equaled last seasons wins & ties. Most of it without Dack. The difficulty, 5/11 of our starters probably won’t be with Rovers next year. Let’s hope we can hang onto our young nucleus, and maybe pickup a couple of freebies to plug in key places.
  3. Hardest fought for & won point of the year. Scrappy, determined play. No complaints from me.
  4. I can’t believe DG played the whole way
  5. Glad I posted our bench can’t compete with theirs ?
  6. We just don’t have a bench to compete with the likes of Robson-Kanu etc
  7. Our subs, benno, Sam & Holtby
  8. Another game I have to wonder if Mowbray’s first comment at halftime is, “we’re winning possession.” From a competitive standpoint, if we get a tie today, I would be amazed. This is a good baggies side.
  9. Everything falling out way, just need to take care of business
  10. Kudos to Mowbray. We will see if the same 11 get the same result.
  11. Bilić shows what can happen when you get a top-drawer manager. Whenever Rovers make a change, imitate our own history. When Rovers had success, no pussyfooting around, it was because of strong managers (Dalglish, Souness, Hughes).
  12. I expect to see the same team. impossible to predict the outcome, so I won’t even try. Eliminate errors, on the pitch & the touchline, improve finishing, It gives us a chance to win. That is all.
  13. Re: Wharton, and it’s the last I will say about him... Guys can only get better with experience. He’s been good enough at the lower leagues, and he can play the position. Even Kane & Vardy played on loanout at places like Leyton Orient & Fleetwood. Ian Rush started at Chester City. Not saying Wharton is their equal; just saying that’s how players improve, by getting playing time. Wharton is still just 22, with 80 games under his belt. He probably will not ever be a star at a high level; At least he’s not wasting his time on the bench. He has two appearances in a Rovers shirt. Give him a runout and see what happens. He’s definitely more valuable to the future of Rovers football than Bennett.
  14. Meanwhile, Boro playing like world beaters under warnock, made it look easy today. WBA beating the fightin Rooney’s 1-0 already... there’s an opening for Rovers!
  15. Youth are characterized by extremes, both good & bad. I take Rankin-Costello, I think he will be a solid player for us. I asked the same thing about Wharton, he’s helped 3 teams to promotion. Hard worker, & surely, a winning attitude.
  16. Unfortunately, I could easily see us selling Nyambe to a PL side; there are former Rovers defenders all over PL- Dann, Hanley, & Duffy.
  17. We have the same number of wins as last season. Now, we need a tie to equal last seasons wins & ties. That would not be progress, but I’m guessing it will be spun that way if/when it happens.
  18. Agreed; no need to toy with a winning 11.
  19. I’m just glad to celebrate a win. Wonderful win by Rovers.
  20. I admit it, I was fed up. At HT i went outside to work on my yard, come back on, it’s 2-3. I need to get fed up more often, ha.
  21. So, we’re winning possession at HT, is that the first thing TM says in the dressing room?
  22. No surprise why he’s scored 51 goals for Rovers. What a scorer
