Amen!!! The team is improved; how much, we don’t know yet. But, at the very least, let’s give ‘em a chance! Welcome aboard, Batth!

I cannot even describe it as a roller-coaster ride; it’s mostly been like watching an out of control beer truck, going downhill 😅 But, here I am, Rovers are my club. I’m thoroughly invested in it (yes, I know, a terminal illness, but I’ve been a Dallas Cowboys fan since birth. Cowboys born in 1960; me, shortly thereafter). I was born within eyeshot of the Cotton Bowl, Fair Park, Dallas, Cowboys’ 1st home.

I knew we would all feel better, once some signings were made. We haven’t won a game yet, and nothing is a sure thing, but the club is bringing some young, talented players. I can’t wait to get the season started!

I would’ve missed our assists leader last season: Moran, 9; Brittain, 7; Gally, 6. I guess Sam could pass on occasion. When he wanted to.

Since I became a Rovers fan in 2013, Conway is probably my favorite player. Led the EFL in assists, consecutive seasons.

If Rovers are bringing in 5 or 6 players- and three of those are Yuki, Batth, & Humphrys- that’s at least a step in the right direction. But, even then, only one of those three is proven at the Championship level (Batth). I will defer to y’all, many of you have followed the club 50 years. But, the other 2-3 signings would need to be a step up from these three, imo.

At this point, I think most of us would be giddy with excitement, at the prospects of bringing in two, “really good” players. Since relegation in 2012, have we ever brought in five, really good players in one summer!?

I’m not apologizing for them. I will give a shout when they sell the club. In the meantime, we have a club, and I get tired of reading the same crap over and over, about how rotten things are. we get it.

Not to mention the fact he stays somewhat optimistic. I’d much rather spend 20 minutes in discussion with Chaddy than the majority of the doom & gloomers here. You might be right, but I get tired of the hopelessness & pessimism.

Chaddy, this all makes good sense, it’s reasonable, budget-conscious, and appears to have a logical basis. We’ve simply become too cynical over time to believe our club is capable of doing this.

Is Sammie still with us? I'm shocked he hasn’t been sold off. Probably happens the day before we play Derby.

The last time I checked this thread, was almost 100 pages ago. But, the comments still lead me to believe, not to be very hopeful about the upcoming season.
