  1. I say the same every year. I love these guys… Elliott, Van Hecke, Branthwaite, Beck, etc., but what does it accomplish? We can’t keep them, they end up back at their parent clubs.
  2. & that’s our season. The last 15 years in a nutshell- stupidity from the top, all the way down, inept managers, more injuries than anybody, & great loaners who we can’t keep but the time allotted. Oh well, I will hang around. The train wreck is still underway…
  3. The heart of our team- Tronstad & Travis. elated to have Beck. Ribeiro will start in PL for his parent club next season. Otherwise, it’s a weird, strange, lineup. Not seeing a goal from this, so, 0-0.
  4. I’m generally sunshine pumping, and I will continue that today; I’m going for an anxiety-filled, 1-1 encounter. I have more confidence in the players we have, than in the manager. Even with so many players back, nothing will be easy the rest of the way this season.
  5. I love hearing the stories. Rovers fan (2013), but Dallas Cowboys since birth (1962). Strange, both of my clubs last made it to the Promised Land in 1995 😢
  6. Rusty, welcome aboard! Rovers need all our fans who have invested so much time, energy, money, blood, sweat & tears in the club, to speak out. Your voice helps those of us here. Sadly, those people (I’m tired of seeing owners name/business) aren’t going to unload our club. Protests, not buying tix or not attending, etc, reflect our displeasure, but sadly, won’t do much to deter them. It’s our club, & the only Blackburn Rovers we will ever have. I live in Texas, but if I lived closer, I’d probably attend games regularly. All we can do is love the club. If anybody has any great ideas, to encourage those people to sell, I’d love to hear them.
  7. Of our 8 remaining games, 4 are at Ewood (not that it’s a big advantage). I see maybe five points, beat Wednesday and get draws against two others. That’s horrible but right now, considering our recent run form, I would take it.
  8. The subs were terrible today. The only signs of life this team showed today were subbed off. I can’t see much to be positive about.
  9. Ismail still hasn’t made his changes. By now, he’s sure to take a glance at our bench, & shake his head. I have to feel for him, a bit.
  10. Bah, there it is. That settles it. I don’t see an equalizer from our side.
  11. Who comes on… Cantwell? Woodrow? not great options, I must say
  12. Yes, Dennis was one of the few signs of life
  13. I expect Sanderson & Cozier-Duberry to sub today. Not that we have a lot of good options…
  14. I will take any show of effort & fire in the belly
  15. I’m not real excited about this; then I see we’re missing 8 guys. Not sure we would get all 3 points, with everyone healthy…
  16. I’m afraid the poor showing at Swansea was the beginning of the end of our playoff chances this season. Just to get in the playoffs, would have been huge. A victory at Pride Park would go a long way in restoring some of that hope. If there was ever a “must win”- in terms practical, emotional, & psychological terms- this is it.
  17. Getting back to playoff places, is the impossible dream. Nice while it lasted.
  18. Elated that Carter is back, & Tronnie is available. Yuki needed on the pitch, imo. For me, this is Cantwell’s big chance. We need to see something from him.
  19. I expected better today from Hyam, Brittain, Sanderson, Rebeiro, etc. I can’t see us climbing back to a playoff place now. Glaring weaknesses all over the place.
