  1. Meanwhile, Nyambe, Sanderson, Batth, etc, having a rough time vs Coventry. Not sure I wouldn’t prefer at least two of the three in our starting 11 today. Definitely Weimann on the bench
  2. We’ve played one league game, & we’re at least five bodies short in the first team, (if we count Pears, Hyam, & Travis). I am not despondent, but I am not really hopeful or optimistic, either. 1-1 sounds like a dream to me.
  3. I will never hope Rovers lose. I always want the team to play to win, put it’s best 11 on the pitch, & everybody play 110% until the final whistle. Home league opener, I want to see all these things happen. But, reality tells me, there won’t be a lot of wins this season- I predicted single-digit wins earlier. Im saying Rovers scrap & hustle, do everything in their power, only to eke out a 1-1 draw. It will be something, but not the encouragement we want/need right now.
  4. No commitment from owners to secure championship level players. A poor showing by manager thus far, to name a starting 11, & provide meaningful gametime decisions. A lineup that is underwhelming, at best. Most games, we will be trailing, 0-1, or 0-2, with no or little chance to play for a win. Half our games, we will be scrapping for a point. The way things stand right now, Rovers will have single digit wins, and be in the relegation zone before we get to September.
  5. Abysmal showing today. Not much hope for the immediate future. No joy with the old club now.
  6. I made two predictions on this game; Rovers win, 5-1; We don’t score in a league game the rest of August. I think #2 has an excellent chance of coming true.
  7. Cantwell, Alebiosu, et al., we should equalize soon
  8. Bromley, 1; Ipswich, 0. HT Sammie lad on the bench, Walton starting
  9. More relieved at not being shutout, than anything else.
  10. Walton the ‘keeper for tractor boys today. I almost wish we had him back
  11. I’ve got Bromley/Ipswich on CBS Sports. nice pitch, Bromley has a solid groundskeeper
  12. This will be our biggest win of the season, 5-1. A shame, as it appears we will be sweating out at least half the league games, just to get a point.
  13. Watch the club score 4 or 5 in the Cup match on Tuesday, then not score the rest of August…
  14. Who scores vs Bradford? The outcome might be more interesting than we want.
  15. We definitely miss Brittain, Dolan, & probably Weimann & JR-C.
  16. FT. Not a bad effort the last 90+ minutes, but we can do this all season… concede early, then have basically one shot on goal. We’re in for a long season, I’m afraid.
  17. Concede 15 min in, lose 1-0 on the road, hopefully, we can find a positive or two.
  18. They’re racking up the yellows, let see one of those turn red…
  19. We’re going to have trouble winning anything, after we’re down 1-0. Still don’t have a shot.
  20. Wondering if my 2-2 prediction is in any ways realistic… who scores two goals in this lineup?
  21. VI certainly not afraid to start newcomers. Four in the 11.
