  1. VI had a good eye for starting 11 at the end of last season. He’s had an opportunity to add some guys that he believes will be good additions to the club. This is a tough opener; and, several new guys who should figure prominently later in the season might not be quite ready. A 2-2 outcome would be quite a coup. I can’t wait for it to start!
  2. If there’s a way to keep both Trav & Tronnie, I hope it can be worked out.
  3. I know this won’t be a popular statement, but Rovers have been busier in the transfer market this summer, than they have since I began following them in 2013. IF Miller & Henriksson indeed sign. No, we do not know they guys are going to be great at this level, but imho, the club has worked to find players. However, we still need a forward.
  4. To get wins, Rovers are going to have to win games 1-0… who is getting that one goal!?
  5. Not Rovers news, but I see Beck loaned to Derby. I really liked Beck. A shame Rovers couldn’t get him again, but Eustace getting him, says it all.
  6. The last great Championship winger on the club, Craig Conway. Not even close. Conway led the EFL in assists, in consecutive seasons. Still one of my favorite Rovers.
  7. Yeah, I hate to give up on a player, when we need players. But, he’s already out 4-6 weeks. I don’t see him ever being a healthy, consistent performer for Rovers.
  8. If you care to read, thread entitled, “does the club care?” Ive come to the conclusion they do not. Well, they are grateful for toffees 4,500 traveling fans today.
  9. I’m encouraged, when our players can go head-to-head against theirs, and win out in various matchups. Clean-sheets are welcome, no matter who we play. I hope I can see this replayed somewhere. Based on the result, & what’s been posted here, Everyman a hero today! Great job, players & staff alike.
  10. Is that ballgame!? everton site never said so… just congratulations all around for a young, brave team ha ha
  11. Chaddy, this sounds like we can be somewhat cautiously optimistic about our defending. Might have to be; offensively, we may not be as strong as last season. I know it’s early yet.
  12. I still feel Cantwell can be a big help to us.
  13. So, I’m a Rovers fan, who lives in Texas, keeping up with my team on an Everton blog. To make a ridiculous situation even more ridiculous, I’ve decided to wear a Liverpool FC shirt. Come on, you Blues!
  14. Still no answer from any of the three emails that I have sent to the club. Not even an acknowledgment of receipt.
  15. So, we are missing 7 first-teamers. Sounds like most of last year. When we got guys back healthy, we charged up the table.
  16. This is my gripe (on another thread, “does the club care?”)… Go to EvertonFC.com, they have a wonderful gameday blog. Complete with pics of Ewood & commentary. So, I will have to follow our club, at Ewood, on Everton’s blog?!? 🤣😂
  17. Still no reply… from either email address. I guess I will have to follow the game on Everton’s game centre.
  18. Rubbing our noses in it, with Branthwaite’s mighty countenance gracing the page.
  19. There’s a way to watch on Everton’s site. EvertonTV, matchpass, £7.99
  20. Thank you all, for your replies. That’s shown me what I guess I really wanted, which was to know our fans still care. with Arbitro’s help I just sent another message. Thanks again, everybody!
  21. RoversTillIDie, I believe, just wants a simpler time, when he can offer cash money for a ticket- a simple cash transaction, without having to get on a computer to do one. Nothing is simpler, or takes less time, than, walk up, “pay at the gate.” For the record, computer generated tickets is the only way we have of paying to get into games here in Texas- no more, “pay at the gate.” Thus, I don’t go to near as many games as I used to.
  22. Ok, I just sent another, marked, “2nd request.” Not that I expect an answer. Just wondering why the club does not do a little more to help its fans, particularly, the remote ones. I will cheer for Rovers, no matter if they’re in the Premier League, or the National League. The least they could do for we fans, is to acknowledge receipt of an inquiry about the club we love.
