I sent this email to the club the other day. so far, no response. I hope they reach out to me, I will gladly post, “yes, our club cares about its fans” if they do…

The club has signed three guys. Based on need, I’d say they’re doing what they can. Honestly, the griping, & constant negativity gets old.

One of the things I like about this board… Nobody gets carried away, but all are true fans, who love Rovers. Regardless of what league they’re in.

So, Yuki & Gueye come through, the guys we needed to see. I’m not sure we can make any sweeping statements about this team from today- positive or negative.

I find the official site, less than helpful. I guess they think we will buy whatever they have to offer, if they don’t give us any information whatsoever. WRONG.

One other way… go out & find more Asian players. if you find some good ones, why not!?

I will be interested to see the part our three newest additions play, if any. We needed backs; I hope our people found a couple good ones.

I check on this thread, about once a week. It’s amazing how dire some of the predictions are - certain relegation, our 4 best players leaving, etc. I’ve said it before, most of y’all were fans of the club years before I followed them, therefore, you know more about what’s going on behind the scenes, & what to expect. But, based on our strong finish, I can’t see relegation, not this season, anyway. Also, If our four best players leave, the club has managed to find players to play at this level. I refuse to concede anything, until we at least go to the Hawthorn’s. let’s see who takes the pitch, before submitting to relegation.

If not Nzonzi, how about Chris Samba? 😂

RevidgeBlue, I agree with much of what you say. not all, but much. I haven’t said anything yet… as I prefer to wait until the window closes, as you say about many of our supporters.😅 After all, the club did finish strong at the end of the season, players coming back, Ismail appeared to make good selections, use his bench more wisely, etc. One thing you said, that I 100% agree with- the club will get several loaners just before the season begins. That has not helped us much in the past, and those longer than the loan, Because we cannot afford to purchase them. I am not a fan of this policy, even though we have got some guys in the past like Harvey Elliott, Branthwaite, etc. it is simply not a beneficial strategy to the long-term welfare of the club. it’s merely a stop gap. The other thing I worry about, is the players we’ve sold off, hardly any of that money seems to go back into the club. I believe most people here feel the owners are using that money to pay off their business losses. I don’t know for sure, & they are taking a huge risk in financing a football club, as few clubs make any money & they are entitled to protect their investment… but our academy, as strong as it’s been, simply cannot produce 2 or 3 quality players a year needed to advance the fortunes of the club. Therefore, the only way to improve the club to the goal of promotion is transfers.

Part of the problem is gone. Rovers, Please do not simply replace one sycophant with another.

The club as it stands is not nearly as marketable as it could be, if the owners tried to make it more attractive. They must look at the current roster, & the fact we were 2 points off playoffs, & try to invest some money to get us to the 3-6 range. It would bolster their investment in the club, and if somehow get us to PL, they could make more of their investment back- if they choose to sell.

My expectations are to improve on this seasons strong finish- so, 5th or 6th, & a chance at promotion. Reality, and the last 15 years, says hope for 10th, but don’t be surprised at a lower half finish. If we can re-sign Weimann, Dolan & Batth, I’d feel much better. Weimann can score, & Batth was very consistent in defence.

I will say, we all expected much more from Dennis. I wish we had had a healthy Weimann all season…

Sorry, I must respectfully disagree. I don’t think we could’ve asked more from the players. We didn’t give nearly this performance vs ShefU at Ewood back in November (we were on a poor run then). If we see today’s fight every time (in particular, I’m thinking of vs Stoke, Cardiff, & Pompey) the point tally wouldve put us in playoffs.

Our traveling support is great, love these fans!

A little early to look at signings, but Ryan Hardie’s (who’s free kick beat Liverpool) team relegated, & Emil Riis is out of contract. Could be useful signings, & probably better than some already on our roster.

I am proud of this club. A month ago, we had nothing to play for. The lads never quit, gave 100%, and gave us an exciting finish. Thank you, Blackburn Rovers, & Ismail, you never quit!

C’mon, Gueye…give us something to shout about!
