  1. It sounds like Rovers supporters are still out there in good numbers- if reduced pricing is enough for them. I must wonder if they will be back on New Years vs Rotherham, when prices go back up?
  2. Rovers need players back. Might Hyam have made a difference, if healthy? Maybe him, & 2 or 3 other guys.
  3. I’m looking forward to this; in west Texas visiting family, but I can sneak away to watch on ESPN+
  4. I am delighted to get 3 pts, no matter the opponent. Looking at a tough one on Saturday at Southampton. Thankfully, I get to see it on ESPN+.
  5. This is good stuff today, Rovers are staying in the hunt
  6. With 18 points from our last 10 games, we’re not that pitiful. We only had 10 from our first 10 games. And, despite getting shut out by Leeds, Rovers have scored 12 goals in the last six. Ive nearly given up any hope of playoffs this season. But, we are really due a strong showing at Ewood. Szmodics has 7 goals in our last six, I favor a Sammy goal, with Wharton winning this one, 2-1.
  7. I refuse to be despondent, however, we’ve won only three of our last eight in league play. We’re getting farther and farther away from playoff places. Even when players come back from injury, it’s not near enough. Our players play hard, but they’re not good enough. Hopefully, we see some action on the transfer wire in January, however, if not, I may choose to become despondent at that time.
  8. I’m not able to see this one, but judging from the good comments here, we do not expect to get any goals in this game unless they come from penalties.
  9. Last time we scored from a corner? it may be recent, I honestly don’t remember
  10. By match day, we might have a few academy lads blooded, & a couple of first teamers fit.
  11. I’m assuming it is, therefore… We won't defeat Leeds. I should say, we CANNOT defeat Leeds. Simply not the bodies. Another 1-3 shellacking.
  12. I could see a plucky goal; we might keep them at one. I will stick with my 1-1 prediction
  13. I’m sure Tomasson loves a good challenge, but this much adversity is overwhelming to any man. 1-1… hoping & praying we find a goal from someone
  14. I don’t get this on tv, who is our weakness(I’m guessing Pickering)
  15. We need a footy fix; this is a welcome weekend! I enjoyed the past weekend of American tackleball- as, my Dallas Cowboys win, as well as the University of Texas Longhorns, who go 10-1. But, I have truly missed my Rovers. 1-2.
  16. Two weeks until Rovers play @ Stoke... If we could get a couple of guys back, I'd feel better. Especially if they were named Hyam & Carter
  17. So glad I get this game (ESPN+) Win, lose, or draw, c’mon, you Rovers!
  18. Four wins in the last five… if we went back & read the pre-game comments from those four wins, would they read much different than today? We’ve got a solid football man in Tomasson. He may not have the personnel he would desire, but I bet we get solid play from whoever he throws out on the pitch. COYB!!!
  19. By this definition, a team would be a rival with everyone they play. We know this is not true. Some games simply mean more to admin, coaches, players & fans. And, you do know something about me; I said I was a Texan.
  20. A rivalry has to mean something special to both sides; if it doesn’t, it isn’t a rivalry. I am a Texan, & I grew up on Texas/Oklahoma. That IS a rivalry, both sides derive much pleasure/pain from it. my in-laws are Texas Tech fans, and as much as they think they have a rivalry with the University of Texas, they don’t. It’s just another game to we Longhorns. & all this being said, Rovers/Preston is a rivalry. I am a newcomer to Rovers fandom (since 2013), but 14 pages before the game even starts, says it means a little more than playing brum big club, Ipswich, QPR, etc.
  21. We’re stretched really thin, but 4 wins out of 5, I’m encouraged. Tomasson is doing well with the boys & pieces he’s been given. Sammie is a great addition to the squad. I liked it when we got him, & it didn’t take long to establish himself as a goal scorer, and a fan favorite. I still feel Sig’s will be a solid goal scorer for Rovers. COYB!
