  1. I will take Vale over Hirst, but to be truthful, neither have earned a start. However, with Gally out, gotta go with somebody, I guess.
  2. Niko, I agree this is a big opportunity for Rovers. For the most part, we are healthy (sans Hedges), we are defending well (only allowed three goals in the last six games, 5 in the last 8), young & scrappy, etc. I know what I said earlier, about it being necessary to expect results vs teams in the relegation zone, but I truthfully couldn’t gripe if we get 4 pts from the next two. The thought of six from the next two, would be amazing. COYB!
  3. I know we cannot win ‘em all. But, with 4 consecutive wins, I have to believe we take all 3 pts vs a team fighting relegation. Otherwise, why believe in this team at all?
  4. One cerveza over my cutoff. WE’RE GOIN’ UP!!! 🍻
  5. I’m surprised we’re deserting Vale so quickly. Why? He’s only 21. I don’t believe we’ve seen his total maturation as a player. The club must think he has ability, to sign him for three more years.
  6. As I sat watching the final seconds tick away yesterday, of Dallas/Detroit, in a 24-6, defense-dominated game, my mind rolled to Rovers. Detroit has the worst defense in the NFL. Cowboys started Dak, but no excuses.Dallas won, so no complaints. Gotta win these games over teams 16th on the table. As mentioned previous, they have biggest goal diff in Championship, and have allowed most goals, hence, worst defending. I don’t know if we keep Brereton after January, but I expect him to score aplenty between now and then. our man Gally to make the score sheet, and one of the Wharton’s. 3-2, good guys, in a wild one. Oh yes, Vale signs a new 3-year deal. It shouldn’t affect this game, but how do the rest of you feel about this?
  7. Thanks to everybody for the history lesson, I won’t forget big club again, ha ha
  8. I had to investigate, since I’m still a relative newbie. So, in Savage’s brief Rovers career, he scores once… vs Birm. Outstanding 😂
  9. I feel our man Dacky has lost a step. I’ve had both my knees operated on, and you’re definitely not the same afterwards. My feeling is, Dack is on the tail end of one career, and the beginning of another. I believe he will be a solid coach when his playing days are through.
  10. Since I’m a relative newcomer to English football, and a lover of history, I like to get a sense of our play over the years against other clubs: Rovers, 50 wins vs Small Heath/Birm.; 34 draws; 48 losses, making this one of the 10 most played series by Rovers. We’ve won our last four against them. it’s this stat I’m most interested about. We’ve had a nice run against them, which we know, must come to an end eventually. But not this time. Good guys, 3-1.
  11. I like what I’m reading from the last few posts. Pack the house talk! I’m a newcomer here, a fan of only the last 9 years. Living in Texas, where I’ve supported the Dallas Cowboys & University of Texas the last 50 years (believe me, I know what it’s like to hurt, seeing the thing I love go mediocre & stagnant). Some of y’all have been Rovers for 60 years, living within eyeshot of Ewood. So, I can’t criticize. I was afraid our fans had lost the ability to think about the future, and were basically relegated to the position of club historians. Not so, Rovers have a future to get excited about, and that passion is showing. Its a great club, it’s the only Blackburn Rovers we will ever have. Just tell your friends and neighbors, people that haven’t been to Ewood in years, we have a club worth supporting.
  12. Mowbray looks more elated at defeat than Gally does at victory 😂
  13. Hello, top of the table! Thanks to team, jdt & staff, all have put in 100% today!
  14. Szmodics needs to be taken out, and Morton too. Both with yellows
