  1. I’m generally a sunshine pumper. However… As much as I would love a win, & want our players to show some pride & fight, I’m sensing a 1-1 result is about the most I can reasonably expect. one would think guys leaving would want to show their skills. Starting youngsters, Vale, Brown, etc, might get some hunger on the pitch. Will we see any signs of life from ol’ Tony in his Rovers finale? apart from the obligatory, hug the players, I’m not expecting that, either. Lifeless & tepid, I’m afraid.
  2. I’m not sure Keane would be that hire. He could be, but I agree that right now, we need a hire that is exciting, and unites the fan base. We cannot stand another dismal plodder who looks like he would be happier anywhere but striving to get Blackburn Rovers back in the PL. Keane could be; Ainsworth could be; there are others.
  3. I have to be hopeful right now, & have a wait & see attitude… but based on what Mowbray lacked, we want a person who wants to be here; has a history of promotion; and has an infectious, positive attitude. Mowbray has achieved promotion, but he lacked the attitude, and based on the last few months, we can definitely say he didn’t care about being at Rovers anymore.
  4. How much do we really know about Dyche leaving burnley. I am not saying this as an endorsement or hiring him would be a bad thing, but they’ve done ok without Dyche, as they will probably be safely in PL yet another season.
  5. I dare say Mowbray “had a plan” to get us back to the PL, only most of us would be dead or too old to appreciate it, once it comes to fruition. Wolverhampton were relegated the same year we were; they dropped to League 1 as well, before their notable resurgence under… Nuno Espírito Santo. He’s out there… why has his name not been thrown in the hat? (I apologize in advance off I may have missed it. I haven’t read every page in the thread)
  6. I just wanted something… anything… positive to talk about today. Instead, a crushing home defeat.
  7. Really disappointing effort (or lack thereof) today. Players & mgr alike
  8. Dolan a good sub here, he has lots to prove
  9. Final home game; Still something to play for; a large, excited crowd; you know Bournemouth will be fired up to play. It should be a great game time atmosphere, COYB!
  10. We have lost nearly all hope of the playoffs, so maybe everybody give ol’ Tony a big send off from Ewood, & cheer Rovers on to a convincing win over cherries
  11. What do you know…our gaffer is the Championship manager of the week. New 5 year contracts, all around 😅
  12. Rumors, scuttlebutt, and made up stuff… entertaining to read about. And, I think most of us know to take any of it with a grain of salt 😅
  13. A great crowd to back the lads; I hope it’s a sellout. Cmon, Tony & team, smash the cherries! COYB!
  14. Looking at who’s out there, Bilic isn’t immediately looking for work, but he could probably be had. Bilic has one of the highest win%, 45.6%. We could do a lot worse.
  15. I’m not advocating keeping tony- quite the opposite. But Tony has won 41.3% of his games, Grayson 40.8% (if wiki is current). It seems to me you should always hire better than you sack. And, Grayson hasn’t managed teams at the level Tony has.
  16. I am very happy by a blowout away win. Especially for our great traveling fans. Most mgrs pump a fist, or jump up & down on a goal, etc. but anytime they showed our gaffer, he looked like he had just ate a rancid cheese.
  17. I went back, and viewed the first two Rovers goals; Gally, strong header, and Bucko, from about 25 yards, great poke. We are seeing lots of energy and passion from our lads. Frankly, PNE look a mess so far. But, I expect a different game the 2nd half, we do not handle prosperity very well.
  18. It figures… I lost the feed, and missed both goals!
  19. Dunn played majority of his Rovers career in PL, I would hope at this point in his life he’s a realist, not a loyalist.
  20. Who gives us the most trouble in this lineup, Jacobsen? Or basically anybody who gets the ball, lol
  21. Lots of frustrations being vented here today, and the game hasn’t even been played. Two things would greatly help our mood, Rovers win, & Tony getting sacked.
  22. I get this game on ESPN+. I will be interested to see if the team has some passion & energy when they take the pitch. On the other hand, I am sure Mowbray will stand on the touchline, drearily looking down at his feet, perhaps running a hand through his scruffy hair.
  23. It’s not that they don’t want it. They simply haven’t got a clue how to go about it. Sad
