  1. Heard a name to watch out for this summer (granted I'm not sure how this can even be possible with no manager), and one who will certainly divide opinion... Ben Pearson.
  2. At Rovers, Bradley Johnson has a better goals to game ratio than Joe Rothwell.
  3. Tayo Edun is fucking dogshit. Sorry, but he's woefully short of CH level.
  4. If they can move so quickly to replace Mowbray now, begs the question why they couldn't move so decisively 2 months ago when we actually would have made the playoffs with Farke. Even more so when the whole world (that paid any kind of attention) knew we'd end up out of thr playoffs come May.
  5. The way I see it is we've been staring at the same pile of turd for the best part of 5 years... it has gone very stale, very cold, and VERY boring. I'm just relieved to be able to stare at a new fresher pile of turd next season. Warm the fans up a little. Who knows, maybe it'll even turn out to be horse (turd), which has actual long term benefits.
  6. Billing cost £15m from Huddersfield.
  7. How? Considering the current team with Lenihan, Van Hecke, Nyambe, Rothwell, Brereton-Diaz and Khadra is going to finish 9th or 10th
  8. Current (best/likely) opening day XI/bench for next season. Kaminski Brown - Ayala - Wharton - Pickering Travis - Buckley Hedges - Dack - Markanday Gallagher Subs: Dolan, JRC, Carter, Phillips, Edun, Butterworth, Pears Woof. Journey. Bottom 8 fodder.
  9. 💭 Mowbray: 💭 "These owners don't have a clue what's going on, but they might be watching on Saturday... Hmmmm, I'm going to get crucified on Saturday by the fans if we slip up. Bournemouth are scary. What if... what if I let slip a "woe is me" presser on Thursday, and get the fans off my back thinking I'm leaving. Yeah, they might go easy on me and even cheer. We won't make the playoffs, I won't allow it, those bright lights of the Premiership scare me, plus I can only loan 2 players from Pepé and Jurgs up there. Yeahhhh.... Maybe with that support on Saturday we might even win, the fans chant my name, call me their King. Hell, maybe I get my own lap of honour and the crowd give me a standing ovation out of the stadium. What a hero I'll be for reminding them all I got us promoted 4 years ago (with the biggest L1 budget of all time!) Venkys will see this, think im beloved by all.... That'll get me a new 3 year contract for sure." Don't be fooled just yet!!!
  10. He should have announced he was stepping down publicly 1 month ago then. As much as I hate losing, pissing awya a rock solid playoff place, and being bottom of the half season form guide, I'm fucking petrified that we win the next 3 games - not get promoted - and then that cockroach gets an extension. If he was to announce his departure now, he/the team would have 100% "support" from the stands over the next 3 (probably ultimately pointless) games. If he doesn't, then he might want to bring ear defenders vs PNE and Bournemouth especially.
  11. Maybe all post match interviews should start with this.
  12. Mowbray has pissed me off today in so many ways already: 5 at the back, 2CDM's and a False 9, at home, in a must win game, vs a team (mid-table) with basically nothing to play for. Concede after 3 minutes and is too stubborn to change. But the worst thing: He leaves the touchline at 46:30 in the first half so he isn't there for the boos HE deserves. Self preservation at its fucking finest. Forget a dinosaur, the man is a damn cockroach!
  13. Fact is Edun was MILES off the pace and was playing out of position. He is 100% responsible for his own DUMB decision. Referees are crap, we know that. But (as always) the blame is on that twerp in the fucking silk shirt on the sideline! Back 5, left back in midfield vs a team that are currently 1 point off mathematical relegation. Fuck off Tony.
  14. We can enjoy this, at least until 2pm rolls around and we see our "Managers" starting XI. And then come 5pm when we're non-victorious against L1 Peterborough, we can return to hating our own club!
  15. Dyche would walk in to the managers office, look at the tactic board to see a back 5, with Brereton and Gallagher flanking a false 9... and burn the room to the ground.
  16. Thoughts are that I'm going "Will Smith" every fan I come across next season (when Rovers are in a relegation battle with a new manager) who say "Mowbray had us nearly in the playoffs last season."
  17. The problem is (and has been for 3 years) is that stubborn Mowbray gets to pick the starting XI. 2nd half adjustments are down to pressure from thousands. His "tactics" are an embarrassment to all professional football managers. We haven't scored a goal with a foot for THIRTEEN games. 6 games till he leaves 🤞 Maybe, but Rothwell went down in the 89th minute and the referee gestured to the 4th official (lifting his arm up) - to raise the time from 5 to 6 minutes. So that was alloted for. To play 9 was Fergie-time level of BS. Considering we only took the lead in the 83rd minute, to somehow find 9 minutes of time wasting in 7 minutes of football, is quite impressive. We absolutely over did the shithousing, but that referee would have played 15 minutes until Coventry scored if needed. Fact is we have little hope of surviving any type of onslaught by teams. Van Hecke could (should) have walked in the first 10 minutes, but the referee was full Sky Blue in the 2nd. We may have been shithousing, but they were left with little choice.
  18. "Punished for not sacking our manager, once again".
  19. I'm sorry, but Kamisnki's kicking is fucking abysmal and costs us more than people realise - even compared to Raya (congrats on your Spain call up David).
  20. Dack for Buckley, change to a fucking back 4, Giles left wing, Dolan right wing, Gallagher 9. So simple. Everyone (bar one) can see it.
  21. Reading could (should) have scored 4 goals here. Mowbray is a "tactical" imbecile.
  22. Ignorant post there. Nothing fickle about any of it. The boos were also all aimed to towards 1 man, not the CDM in the 9, nor the one at RWB. People don't pay £450 a year on season tickets (plus parking, merchandise and match day spending - another few hundred pounds) to watch grassroots football. My only complaint was they were chanting "Mowbray, sort it out" and not "Mowbray, time to go!" He has always come across as spoilt, righteous and one to take the praise and pass the blame. Yesterday just looked like the first time he knew he couldn't do that. In 30 years of watching Rovers I've never seen us so late out of the tunnel at HT. EVER. So if you think Mowbray alone chose to make that formation change or those subs at half time... well, good for you. His demeanour for that 2nd half - post match - proved he was usurped.
