  1. My takeaways. 1) I enjoyed that, not sure the dad with 3 kids sat in front of me did. 2) Swansea played the most pathetic and bizarre tactics (for a whole hour, then off and on till FT) that I have ever seen. Bewildering. Many teams would have been 4-0 up when it was still 0-0. 3) Buckley gets a clean slate this season for me, but let's calm down with calling it a career game. He was awesome for the goal and was good the first hour. Second half he was a little tunnel visioned. Still, I'll give him a strong 7.5/10. 4) We can't only score 2 goals when above average teams would have scored 6. 5) Rothwell definitely shot, and shouldn't have. Diaz was on the line and was almost an impossible angle. 6) Dolan, as a pressing forward, sign me up. But my christ I think I could hit a football harder with a snooker que using my weak hand. If he's going to wear the #10 and play the (false) #9, he needs to seriously get working on his shooting, power and decision making. Off the ball he gets a 10/10, on the ball he'd be lucky to hit a 5/10 for me. 7) Mowbray out. 😎 🔵⚪
  2. Maggott must be turning over in his coffin spitting out his glass of blood, seeing things like this from other clubs.
  3. I'm going into every game this season hoping we win. But if we are going to lose, I hope we get spanked with zero excuses available. Until that wank-shaft is gone.
  4. That article makes my blood boil. Mowbray logic: "We can't offer new contracts to Lenihan, Nyambe and Rothwell when others in the world are being Furloughed, so their contracts will have to run down." However, what you actually did Tony was give bonus 6 week contacts to Smallwood, Samuel, Graham, Downing, Hart etc in the middle of Covid 2020. Probably costing £150,000. (Which is rumoured to be 1 whole year of Nyambe's salary) Reality: You could have offered Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell a combined extra £20k a week for 2 year extensions this summer (£1m a year added to the wages), but instead you're going to let £15m* worth of players leave for free. What a fucking prick than man is! I'd love to fucking know how much money Downing, Douglas, Pears, Braithwaite and Trybull cost us (per week) last season. You can bet your testicles it was more than £20kpw. Oh no, can't possibly offer our captain, creative midfielder and stalwart RB new contracts... I've got Ex Boro mates to help get paid and 5 unproven EPL kids i must sign for 40 games with that money+ so I can be adored in Liverpool and Manchester. GET HIM OUT.
  5. I wouldn't fight that comment, but my comment was the duration. Ince was gone within 4 months and wasn't visibly a disaster until probably 2 months in (bar the Keith Andrews signing), Coyle was a hated 7 months and Kean a despised 19. So 2.5 years. I've wanted Mowbray gone for over 2.5 years, was my point.
  6. Ince was out of his depth, and was sacked after less then half a season. Coyle likewise was booted after 7 months. I've pretty much wanted this moronic, pass the blame, boring, lying and pandering Dinosaur out of our club for longer than Kean, Coyle and Ince managed us - combined.
  7. Catching up on all them bullshit LT articles I have come to one conclusion. Tony, you are as delusional as they come, and will be in for quite a surprise from a large portion of your fan base in 26 hours time. I think he has now reached my all time #2 disliked manager status.
  8. Maybe Balaj can come over and negotiate our out of contract players? (Tongue firmly in cheek) Looking at the 24 names on the squad list, HALF are out of contract in 10 months. the only ones still under contract after this season are: Pears, Stergiakis, Ayala, Wharton, Pickering, Rankin-Costello, Travis, Buckley, Dack, Dolan and Gallagher. 5 of those will expire in 2023. Kaminski being one with an optional 1 year after 2022. Using the (imo pessimistic) values on transfermarkt: Nyambe, Lenihan, Johnson, Kaminski*, Rothwell, Brereton-Diaz, Armstrong, Chapman, Davenport and Eastham are all out in June and worth a current value of roughly £32.5m. £22.5m of that is AA and BBD, and therefore I would suggest we are easily looking at closer to £40m worth of assets as there is no way Kaminski, Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell are worth <£10m combined. Mowbray needs retired, those number and these contracts could ruin our club if we allow £20m to walk out the door for free (upon relegation).
  9. And is also now valued at 10-15x more than our ~illustrious~ manager deemed him to be 24 months ago. Sorry, irrelevant. But I've been Mowbray out since even before he often called Raya out and threw him under the bus, then froze him out for Leutwiler and welcomed through that pethetically low transfer to his Championship idols, Brentford. Could have kept Raya, saved all that wasted money (and points) on Walton the next season, and sold Raya this summer for £20m+ too. More Mowbray failings. Problem was we wouldn't have been able to afford the Gallagher £5m asking price that summer....... 🥴 So we think Armstrong gets sold tomorrow?
  10. Literally might be it. Last relegation we suffered with Wes Brown, Gordon Greer, Hope Akpan, Danny Guthrie, Jack Byrne, Elliott Ward, Jason Steele, Stephen Hendrie, Liam Feeney, Marten Samuelsen, Anthony Stokes and Emnes/Joao/Gallagher on loan. Plus the likes of Williams, Lowe, Evans and Bennett. Can also include Mulgrew and Graham for most of that season. At least we aren't drenched with that amount, or level of deadwood... besides Ayala and Johnson the entire squad is younger than 30. Problem: We know Mowbray will use his 5 loans. I mean, why play your own, when you can pay for, develop and play the "Big Six's" instead?.
  11. 3. Pickering: Never played at Championship level. 5. Ayala: Never plays. 6. Davenport: 25 appearances in 3 years and <5 starts. 10. Dolan: 1 year as a professional, 12 career starts. 11. Rankin-Costello: 25 championship appearances. You can argue that Dack, Travis, Brereton-Diaz and Lenihan (all in the 20's) are part of our "Best XI", but seeing the players listed above filling up the 1-11 squad numbers is certainly bleak.
  12. The journey... 20 outfield players 4 goalkeepers. 1 soon to leave, 2 long term injuries, 3 injury prone (and currently injured). Can't blame Venky's for that. All Mowbray.
  13. I feel desperately sad that I may be one of these... feel this is my last season if things don't change/we get relegated. I can't do L1 again.
  14. Bring on your most creative midfielder, cross it in to your only real #9 = goal. Wow, it's hard being a football manager.
  15. Could the travelling away fans PLEASE do the right thing and start booing Mowbray NOW.
  16. Season starts in 7 days... let that sink in. Shambles.
  17. Jeez it's hard work that RoversTV. Nothing is good/simple with this Club.
  18. I would imagine there would be interest form the likes of Brentford, Watford and Norwich, maybe even a Palace or Southampton. I think he goes out on loan, and if it is to the Championship I think we have a better than 50:50 chance unless a Fulham, WBA or Sheff Utd want him. I feel a "footballing" low end PL team will get him.
  19. Talking about loaning SIX players. So let's just say he is budgeting around £50kpw for that "journey". Here's an idea, why not loan in two more established players of real quality, at positions of need, for £20kpw each and then use this plethora of young talent at our own elite level academy as backups. We don't need 6 extra bodies if they're going to be Jarrod Braithwaite, Marten Samuelsen, Mo Barrow, Jack Byrne and Rakeem Harper. We need starting 11 quality additions. Elliott, Harwood-Bellis and Tosin have all just about checked that box. But don't forget the likes of Tyrone Mings, Mason Mount, Reece James, Harvey Barnes and Ben White were all on loan in this division 2 years ago. Set some type of fucking bar, Tony. Please.
  20. Anyone in attendance/watching want to best guess the number of home fans?
  21. Rothwell will be going straight into the Cairney/Raya bracket of players we sell/let go due to managers not being able to handle quality. Nyambe will join that list soon enough.
