  1. Jeff Kenna will be wondering where that random semi came from...
  2. Even Mokoena taking shots tonight! 🤣 Cheer up fellas, if you were a true member of the "Mowbray out" club at any point in the past 3 years, you would have known where we would finish this season (not in the top 6). Hope his cake was nice. 🎂
  3. Buckley taking the ball off the feet of not one, but two Rovers players consecutively as they lined up to shoot inside 10 yards. Wow.
  4. No matter how bad things get at Rovers, I can at least take solice that we don't play for fecking long throw ins, nor do we make our players run round 5 cones when they come back out after half time. Small fan victories.
  5. Call me negative, but I put £10 on a Swansea - Forest - WBA treble. It is February afterall.
  6. 4 goals in EIGHTY appearances for Buckley. 2 of them were huge deflections vs Sheff Wed and Charlton, and the other two 6 yard tap ins vs Stoke and Birmingham. (Not that 6 yard tap ins are a given, apparently) Our "False 9" for the past 16 games in a row = 1 in 20 goalscorer (or) 0.05 goals per 90 minutes over his CAREER. He has 1 goal this season, 1 goal in 13 months.... and is played as a fucking #9! I blame Mowbray for consistent pathetic use of the lad. What the fuck are we doing. Need a serious reshape of the team again now Tony. either drop Buckley down the pitch (which probably means an end to the 5-2-3 - or drop him from the team for Dack, Dolan or (right now) Gallagher.
  7. Buckley should stay in the changing room, he's hopless tonight. Passing is off, touch is non existent and shooting... well. Can't have the key player in this formation be so off form.
  8. Now I appreciate that miss had nothing to do with the position he is playing, but is absolutely why Buckley should never be the false 9. Shooting is a generous 3/10.
  9. Just caught up on 32 pages with no knowledge of what's been going on last 20+ hours. Wish I hadn't bothered....
  10. In any other season since Rothwell has been here, we would all be wishing him well onwards to a PL team for (£6m), offering to 4x his salary etc. Like we were with Armstrong. Him "choosing" to do it now, will cement his (short/medium) legacy as a potential villain (unless we get promoted). *I say "choosing" as clearly he hasn't been wonderfully treated for the duration of his contract here, and it is pure mismanagement to allow him to be so close to expiring. However the truth is he could have a contract till 2024 and Brentford could be offering £6m, and I bet he would still be making the same stink. Shame... If (Rothwell) can't choose to get his head down when your team/mates/club/fans are 3 points clear of 3rd with 1/3 of a season to go and best chance in a decade to get back up... well, good riddance to you.
  11. So I'll try and look at this from the positive side (unusual). 1. Rothwell wants to leave, has shown his true colours this week and we're potentially looking at excellent (all things considered) money for him from a Premiership team (not Bournemouth). £6m is more than we could have hoped. 2. We do theoretically have Dack coming back in weeks, could drop Buckley into Rothwells role (where i think he could thrive) and go from there. Buckley has been fine to good, but he is not a false 9. (1 goal and barely any chances from that position in at least 15 matches). Dack (2020) likely would have 6-8 goals minimum in that span. 3. Losing Rothwell from the negotiation cluster may enable us to chuck an extra £2k or so on each of Lenihan and Nyambes tables and potentially see them re-sign. Hell, it might even get the ball rolling on a Travis, Kaminski etc. 4. Seems fairly black and white that the ONLY way Rothwell goes is if we're reinvesting a huge % of the money into our own transfers (unlike what we've done most of the time). 5. This squad is crying out for depth. If come Tuesday we have added players like Styles, Dembele, 5th loan and Hedges etc, whilst losing Rothwell (which in itself, is shit) and still gaining a healthy profit after all that business (£2m?)... well let's just say it could be a lot worse. Of course, you cannot deny his quality, and what his sale may do to morale etc. But the simple fact he has chosen to act this way means we simply have to fuck him off - and £5m+ is a nice consolation for a player free to walk on July 1st.
  12. Now I know he has Butterworth, JRC, Johnson, Nyambe and Zeefuik around him... but Buckley has to be better. He needs to step it up. He's performance is key, if not the only way we win today.
  13. That's a disgrace, Gallagher has been hammered off the ball by Lockyer all game. Another week, another red card avoided for our opposition. Helps having a c*nt as a manager, as the referees constantly give Luton everything, every season. Yet he still acts like the world is against him.
  14. £200k for a player who presumably gives us better depth and a better chance of being promoted. Can't argue with that. 10 years ago £200k would have only got us 1 week worth of Danny Murphy, Dixon Etuhu, Leon Best, Bradley Orr and all them Portuguese nobody's (and Nuno Gomes). Don't know anything about Hedges beyond the talk on here... but as long as he is fitter and faster than JRC and Butterworth it'll be a start. I'm way past my peak and I still think I'd do them two in the 100m, without a warm up.
  15. I think a lot of referees are shit and biased... but this one takes the fucking cake. Feel sorry for Tom Eaves because the referee is MOTM by a fucking mile for Hull.
  16. Do not need to play this formation vs feckin Hull City and their hoof ball to Tom Eaves. JRC and Gallagher can stay in the changing room. 4 at the back, Johnson or Davenport on behind Rothwell and Buckley. Khadra and Dilan either side of BBD.
  17. Worst 45 minutes of the season... not even close. JRC, especially wank. Not playing a holding midfielder is suicide in this formation.
  18. Oh wonderful, they get taken over 20 minutes before KO. That can't not work in their favour.
  19. Tombola back out (enforced as it may be) Any one fancy working out that formation?
