A lot of people talking about a potential for making money when we sale a player we may sign. Surely the last thing you should be thinking about when signing a player is we may be able to sale him and make a few million in a couple of years.

Would be happy with Freeman, Bauer and a decent striker. Brereton I would move on from, the fee Forest want is ridiculous for a centre forward with 8 goals in 53 league games who can't even get on their bench. If Mowbray can't find better value than that then it is a poor show.

I take it you mean a per week. But there is little chance that a player who is being signed for around £8 Million is going to take wages of 12-14k per week.

You told me you expected Gallagher to be in for the game last weekend. If you thought that we could afford his wages then we could afford the majority if not all of those players' wages. Also given those players were all cheaper than Brereton why not put the few million we would have saved on a transfer fee towards wages?

Wouldn't say that Dack was a one season wonder before he came here but even if he was that is still one season more than Brereton and at less than 1/8th of the price.

Look for a bit more value in the market rather than spending more on an unproven teenager who can't get on Forests bench than on the rest of our squad combined.

Is it really prudent to spend more money on one unproven teenager than the rest of your squad combined? I mean he's not exactly a young Messi is he, he can't even get onto the Forest bench.

He's starting two 21 year olds today and has another on the bench. He brought Bamford at Boro as a 21 year old and he was Championship player of the season that year and Gibson was also a young player when he went to Boro who he played regularly. So it's not a fact that Karanka doesn't play youngsters.

Don't like a midfield two of Evans and Smallwood it was our weakest area last season in League 1. Would have played Armstrong wide in place of Bennett and put Graham up top as I worry about Armstrong holding the ball up as the lone striker.

I'd like a wide player as well but Mowbray doesn't really seem very keen on natural wide men. In central midfield Davenport is injured, Smallwood has been playing poorly for months now, Evans is Evans, Travis is still raw and you can write of Whittingham and Gladwin. I'd like a dominant experienced body brought into the midfield as at the moment we are very lightweight in there.

Hope that we aren't spending all of our budget on Brererton as we have other areas that need strengthening as well. Still think we need another centre back and centre mid.

Indeed £6 million is a lot of money for this club to spend on potential. Forest paid around the same amount for Grabban who scored 20 Championship goal last season & Leeds only paid a million more for Bamford.

Give how little money we have spent in the last few years I cannot help but think that it would be rather profligate to spend such a sum on an unproven teenager.
