  1. Soft but he shouldn't have his arms in someone's face.
  2. Rovers are giving an update on the number of ST's sold this week? How do you know?
  3. Agree to a point to but we can't pick signings apart if there haven't been any. Also it was Mowbray who raised expectations by saying he wanted all his perm signings to be in place by next Sunday. You can't blame people for having concerns.
  4. He's one of the best players that's ever played the game. This is agreed by everybody in the world who has ever watched a game of football. The End.
  5. He's walked every league he has played in if you count the Champions League. He's left rough cynical Italian defenders on their arse for the last 10 years. He's done the same to Ramos and Godin. He's been kicked from pillar to post all his career. WTF could Sol Bamba do to him that he hasn't already faced-?
  6. I'd forgot about the tinkering in which case we would need another. Williams though is a natural in a back 3 and was where he played for Bristol City.
  7. Brilliant! I thought you were serious yesterday when you called him bang average. Neil Warnock!? Well played sir?
  8. Of all the positions at the club I would have thought Central Defence was the least of our worries?
  9. I'll be disappointed if we don't get a 'Piss Yellow' away shirt.
  10. It shuts about 3 days after the opening game of the season (August 7th?). Loan window shuts end of August. I'm sure you could look it up?
  11. Of course it is hard to extrapolate over a full season but it is the only data we've got. It could be said that Mowbray would have done even better if he had a full pre-season and a much fitter squad than the fat unmotivated shambles that Coyle put on the pitch each week. The doom mongering about league 1 squads and relegation battles has far less basis in reality than acknowledging that a lot of our current squad already have and will again be competitive in the Championship. A few quality additions and we may surprise a few next season. Millwall went up with 20+ points less than us and hardly spent big money.
  12. Our current squad is not any worse than the one that Mowbray got 22 points from 15 games from in the Championship, that was the point. Look at the team that won at Brentford last game of that season. Raya - a full season behind him for the first time and probably better than a year ago. Nyambe - a far better player than he was 12 months ago Ward - a liability. Downing is far better. Mulgrew - off the back of a great season he is fitter by his own admission than he was. Lenihan - no worse than he was. Williams - another good season and now has genuine competition in the shape of Bell. Guthrie - we have better in Evans or Travis. Lowe - we have better in Smallwood. Gallagher - one that I'd like us to re-sign but is he any better than Dack? Bennett - has come on leaps and bounds under Mowbray. Graham - on the back of a great season and fitter than he has been he is no worse than he was. We won that game 3-1. Of course we need reinforcements and I expect Mowbray will get them but the nucleus of a decent Championship side is already there.
  13. Did someone really say Messi was 'bang average'? Heavens. And are we on about the same Ronaldo who was completely anonymous in the CL final against Liverpool? Two great players who are sadly just starting to decline. Totally different players and not really comparable. Messi is better though, always has been ?
  14. See my response to Stuart a few posts up. Edit - and see the post above this
  15. This is a better squad than the one that Mowbray got a decent points return in the Championship with when he took over from Coyle.
