  1. Is that 3 set piece goals so far? Big Sam's England legacy lives on....
  2. If the budget is £10m more than last year and Conway and Graham were both included in last year's budget then that means they have had a combined yearly pay increase of £1.2m. Considering Mowbray was at pains to point out that ageing players have to be realistic in their demands I doubt that suggested wage increase is accurate.
  3. True, and I don't think he even played that much. The rumour was they only paid half up front and the rest was dependent on Cardiff going up. Easiest money Bolton ever made.
  4. Mowbray said as much the other night. The phrase he used was 'key players' who won't become available until later in the summer.
  5. Disagree. Who did Millwall or Sheff Utd have in their squad last season that were 'proven' at Championship or PL level? In fact we will go into this season with far more 'proven' Championship players than those two had. The Coyle factor is for some reason being dismissed by those who think we are going back into the toughest division in the world. We had a very average Championship team 2 seasons ago. We went down because a Coyle was appalling at his job and no other reason. This time round we will have a better squad and a better manager. As Mowbray mentioned in his interview the other night Cardiff went up last season. They were a side cobbled together after a poor season the season before. The difference was they had a good manager in place for the full season. We do need to add quality this summer and judging by Mowbray's comments he expects this to happen. A class striker and some wingers seem high on his list as he again mentioned at the fans meeting. BUT even if we went into the season now I would expect us to stay up. The bottom half of the Championship is not something to fear.
  6. Was it £31 for cat A games in the JW upper last season?
  7. Batshuayi had more chances in 20 minutes than England had in 90 mins against Tunisia.
  8. If you know you will only make 5 to 10 home games for whatever reason then the 1875 is good value.
  9. The 1875 mrmbership saves 3 quid on a match ticket so worth getting if you don't have a ST but are going to do a few home games.
  10. Belgium cutting through Tunisia at will. Maybe puts our performance in perspective.
  11. Or so it says in the Daily Mirror as they have £20m from the sale of Maddison.
  12. Others have the issues you have but don't launch character assassinations from behind their keyboards.
  13. I was on about you not Kean. But I guess that's what you want. 'Look at me look at me. Aren't I outrageous with my contentious views'. Nah mate, you're just a man without any decency who wouldn't dare say any of this to Dunn's face. Grow up coward.
  14. Dunny speaks highly of you too. Or he doesn't know or care who you are. It's one of the two. You're a nasty little man Vinjay. Have a word with yourself.
  15. It was an interesting listen on radio lancs re last nights meeting. Mowbray essentially said that Chapman isn't ready as a starter and he has players lined up who are ready. Still hope Chapman comes back even as just an impact sub. He's a terrific talent and would be a positive boost for the club. Its great that he wants to come. Make it happen Tony! Love to know who the scruffy git was who Mowbray won't be signing because he turned up for a meeting in ripped jeans and a baseball cap which he never took off! Got to have standards.
  16. https://eflreference.wordpress.com/2018/06/18/joe-rothwell/amp/?__twitter_impression=true Found this on him.
  17. The link to Rothwell has been discussed since last January. Are you any relation to Nixon?
  18. https://yellowsforum.co.uk/threads/joe-rothwell.929/ The OUFC forum thread on Rothwell
  19. Armstrong has been played in the same position for Rovers that Rothwell has played for Oxford. Armstrong has rarely played as a striker for Rovers.
  20. Reading the Oxford forum it seems he's been played out wide and as a no.10. Injury prone, inconsistent but technically gifted and very good on his day seems the general consensus. We shall see. Welcome to Rovers.
