  1. No its not. Its a wage budget. Clubs have a figure they spend on wages. It's listed in the accounts as such. That's why Mowbray was specific about a wage budget last season being £8.5m. It's there in black and white on the article. That's why he also got a separate transfer budget of £1.5m as stated in the article. You clearly didn't understand what you got told. So the question remains does the £18m you claim is our budget relate to just wages or everything else as well...because the £8m budget you claim was last year's budget for everything was actually just for WAGES ONLY (unless of course you know more than Mowbray). Your figures are wrong somewhere so clarification would be good.
  2. He moved to the back out of necessity. Lenihan could easily do the ball winner job in midfield that Smallwood does.
  3. If there's anyone on twitter who wants to ask the Posh chairman if Rovers are in for any of their players I'm sure he will answer. https://mobile.twitter.com/DMAC102
  4. Nobody knows the budget mate, everyone is just guessing. But if our wage bill was £8.5m last year then it stands to reason it may have gone back up if contractual wage increases on promotion have kicked in.
  5. Fair enough but I think it's been the best World Cup for as long as I remember and I've watched nearly every match.
  6. Sheff Utd have just sold a young winger called Brooks to Bournemouth for £12m. A Blades fan asked on twitter if Maddison was coming to replace him. Posh chairman replied no but that 2 clubs were close to agreeing terms with Maddison. Apparently he has a £2.5m release clause.
  7. It's gone from boring to brilliant in less than a page!
  8. Which is why I asked because last years WAGE budget (Mowbray specifically referred to a WAGE budget) was £8m so it follows that the overall budget last season was more than £8m. Something doesn't add up. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/blog/2018/may/01/blackburn-rovers-tony-mowbray-india-puzzle-venkys There you go. The WAGE bill last season was £8.5m. Your £8m figure for everything (transfers, wages, renewals etc) is obviously wrong. Maybe you misunderstood what you were told.
  9. £8m was the WAGE budget last season. Mowbray said so. Are you saying the WAGE budget has gone up by £10m or are you including the transfer budget in that as well?
  10. Sounds like common sense based on what has already been said. Some are just getting excitable. Must be the weather.
  11. Not much point discussing it if you are going to ignore my post and make a patronising comment. Read my post again the answer is there. You're the excitable one.
  12. Should ha e read this before I commented. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2018/june/blues-matchday-memberships-now-available/ So for £60 you get admittance to Blues and the option of watching the 2nd half in there. Otherwise you just pay £1 on the door every match with no option to watch the 2nd half in there. If you pay a quid on the door pre_match can you go back in for free after the match?
  13. Mowbray has mentioned Lenihan's pace and athleticism being a vital asset at the back as it allows the back 4 to push up the pitch. You can't do that with a back 4 of Downing and Charlie. Downing is a stopper who is good in the air but he is very slow on the turn. Watch the Bristol Rovers goal we conceded at home. Downing gets caught following his man to the halfway line and gets embarrassingly turned. Granted the lad is quick but there will be a lot of quick players in the Championship. Basically with Downing and Charlie at the back our defensive line wouldn't be far outside our own box and so we'd be stretched all over the pitch. If Lenihan is moved into midfield we would need to replace him with pace not just height.
  14. Sharpe said more than last summer. Last summer was £1.5m. We also didn't spend all the budget available according to Mowbray. £3m is hardly excitable.
  15. Whoosh. I meant tactically the same. LOL that you didn't understand.
  16. Uruguay are the Burnley of international football. Two defensive banks of 4 and dull as shite. Glad Portugal scored.
  17. I've been following the goals on twitter. Good memories.
  18. Or he's told Pune that's what he'll do. After all he said he made all the decisions. I doubt anyone in Pune told him to raise the Blues bar entry price to £2.60.
