ROVERS V COVENTRY 27/2/2021
OldEwoodBlue replied to Hoochie Bloochie Mama's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Useful rule of thumb, Mowbray picks the side, formation, tactics we lose. Fact was we were better than the past few games. Least it wasn't 11 strangers type stuff or boring as hell. He gives stability in the middle so others more creative can play. I just read someone wrote on twitter they preferred Buckley to Evans. Oh yes a weakling child over an experienced international.... Genius. Too much time on your playstation doesn't mean you know the slightest thing about playing football and winning football matches. -

If we don't perform today with this side then he should resign at 5pm. We did play better the other night. It wasn't dire like the previous games. Always better with Evans playing. -

next 7 games playing 4 of the top 5. Not many points with this side. If we don't beat Coventry then we are destined for the bottom 3 by Easter. -

We were playing better this half but that was so soft. No way he should score from there. -

sorry but that goal came from a gapping space down our left where there was no cover. Fuck knows where Dack was. Obviously he shouldn't even be playing there. Fuck knows why he is...Tony? -

Looking at the table right now this is MUST WIN game. -
Agreed... fortunately it won't be us worrying about paying. The 40K is also mentioned here but as you say not specifically mentioned in the government paper. https://metro.co.uk/2021/02/22/boris-johnson-confirms-10000-spectators-to-be-allowed-inside-stadiums-from-may-14126261/

Looking at this a bit more the cynic in me sees this is really just to ensure there are 10K fans allowed in Wembley for the Euro games we are hosting. Wimbledon, Grand Prix, etc.

only in your mind...not in the rules. link added above. we are 31K so not large which starts at 40K.
-
The rule is a 4000 limit but for grounds capacity below 4000 its 25%. The 10K for grounds over 40K is on the BBC news website not on the footy site. Its for Spurs, West Ham, Wembley etc. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52530518
-
Are you reading properly ? 4000 or 25% whichever is lower. 4000 is lower than 7750

Nobody is going this season. Restriction lifts after the season finishes. I was talking about next season.

Making a Murderer was a good watch. Just seen Deutchland 89 being advertised. Looks like it could be a good one to watch next ?

I imagine there will be more than 4000 wanting a ST. Widely reported that proof of vaccination and testing are likely to be conditions of entry for concerts and sports events. If testing is necessary before each game. 4000 x 15 min lateral flow tests is 1000 hours so wont be happening at the turnstile. Waggott will love it. Not a single pie wasted.
-
It is 4000 not 8000. Performances and large events will be subject to limits though. For indoor events they can be at half capacity or 1,000 people, and outdoors they can be at half capacity or 4,000 people - whichever is lower. For large venues (at least 40,000 capacity) up to 10,000 will be allowed to attend. There wont be any walk on option as it is amost certainly going to need proof of vaccination and testing. Waggott won't be able to manage that on a match day if he already taxes walk ons due to unexpected pie demand. 4000 will be more than enough to cover demand anyway.

Nah Matt. 25000 down to 8500. The others stopped being arsed due to the ownership however you look at it. Now its only 2500 due to the current incumbents. The positive facebook bubble is a tiny minority and not reflection of the majority of Rovers fans. Example I have never used facebook. Neither has my 84 yo Dad. Both ex ST holders. Plus another 24,948 others. This forum are the minority indeed but only from the masses who mainly long since cant be arsed.
